Welcome! Attached are a few pics of Sugar and Shadow-they are Robyn's breedings too! You've chosen a fine breeder. [image: attachment_p_24653_0_scan0005.jpg] [image: attachment_p_24653_1_scan0006.jpg]

I am in! Let's plan something here in orange County maybe? My basenji is 8 1/2 months old and he looks like yours. I went to LMU, so I know your area well. -June

Hello and welcome. I'm sorry to hear your little b is sickly. I wish her a speedy recovery. There are some great folks on this site with some great and helpful information. Hopefully they can provide some insight to your little girl's illness.

@senji: Hello Basenji Boy. We are in Lancaster County. I haven't found many people who even know what a basenji is close by. I've talked to BRAT people in York but thats the closest. How cool, we're in the Harrisburg area. Post some pictures of your B when you can!;)

She is darling and you are now OWNED by a Basenji!! Mine is a mix (basenji and whippet) and she still does the B500 through the house (furniture is ALWAYS involved). My Hollie only digs after seeing other dogs do it… a learned behavior(?). I agree with the forum members who suggest crating Abby, for her own safety and your piece of mind. Hollie has gotten out of the dog lot where I work about 4 times. She is NEVER outside without me now. I couldn't stand it if something happened to her. Good Luck!!

Congo is a great name. I wanted to call our dog Mutumbo, but the wife did not like that.

Welcome…I spent about 3 months in New Zealand in 1995 (came when NZ won the America's Cup). Your pictures are beautiful and brought back a lot of memories. A perfect place for a basenji :)

@nala121498: Congrats and welcome, fellow New Englander! Looking forward to some snowy pictures if Santa brings you a camera! Thanks! I love Vermont, everytime I go there on the way to Canada, I think, gee, that is the way Maine used to be. :( I definitely need that camera and will definitely need to figure out the winter thing in general considering I run her on my bike now and will need to make up all that exercise.

@ppuck: www.basenjirescue.us is the website address for Americas Basenji Rescue, but I was not able to access the website well–-it kept bumping me off. I emailed the director directly: keathrhymer@yahoo.com. Paula Website is not active
