we actually discussed that but decided it is a bonding thing between the two of them, and i am kind of curious to see how long it takes for the dog to train the kid.

I am a new and somewhat infrequent member but when I first joined, my elderly Basenji girl just started having seizures. I had moved to East of Nowhere and had no one to turn to and I am now SO LOYAL to this group and all the support and advice they gave me as a result. The good news is that Zeenie is doing well and her condition is under control: she is able to continue bossing her 3 other pack-mates as a result. I just kept searching for the right answer, very encouraged by the group I met online here. Thank you to everyone who assisted us. XOXO, Lauma and Zeenie PS: My brother Shaman is a new member of this forum (he just adopted Henry two weeks ago) and the boys are getting along well… Thank you for your support of them also!

Welcome! We are close to Fremont as well. Some of us already met up in Palo Alto 2-3 month ago, I think now we have even more basenjis to a have a big meetup. Please post meetup details in the existing Bay Area thread or start a new one: http://www.basenjiforums.com/showthread.php?t=6615&page=2

Basenjimamma: You know the cat is the pack Alpha. Cats don't have owners. They have staff. :D

@moetmum: Hi Frank Welcome to the forum, I am the lady you spoke to this morning, you are welcome to come and see the dogs, I didn't mean you had to wait until December! (Just that the pups if there are any) wouldn't be up and running until then. I work most weekends but will be off in two weeks, perhaps we could arrange something then. You are very sensible to take your time, look at Sally's Zande site especially the put off page, if you are still keen to come and meet them contact me. My expectant mum is actually Zande Feleji. Hello again It was great to talk to you this morning and i dont mean to rush you at all we are all busy and as you will be taking the time to help us there is no rush at all. It was just when i told my partner that we should try get to see some she was like a dog with a bone :D and really wanted to see some ASAP as she is as excited as i am. When the dust has settled we can get together as i am all to aware what goes into renovations around the house. We dont mind seeing many basenjis the more the better.. :) Many thanks again for the conversation this morning. I will send you an email so you have my email address and we can arrange a time that sits yourselves and us. Cheers Frank

Hi Guys I have a foster right now that is just came available for adoption and looking for his new home. He is right around 9-10 months old. He is a active pup, loves people and would make a great traveling companion. He just loves to go places and be out and about with his "humans" You can check out his BRAT page here http://www.basenjirescue.org/DOGS/OK/OK-Teddy.asp

@wizard: Actually you don't need to upload them to another website – at the bottom of the "Quick Reply" box click on the "Go Advancaed" button then scroll down past the "Reply" box to the "Additional Options" and click on "Manage Attachemtns". Then you can upload directly from you own computer files and the photos will be inserted at the correct size. It's easy. Thanks, I will give that a go next time.
