Congratulations Jess and Maya!

Thanks for the congratulations etc.; it was a long and tiring day for us and the rest of the committee. We were up at 3.30 am to get to the venue by 7.30 am. I have just about recovered now!

Well done to Gerry and Pip and all the winners, It was a great day for Hanneke and Kim! It’s good to see things going a different way sometimes.

We never did any trimming in the past (1970's - 1980's) and it was rarely seen then but it seems to be a common practice in the UK now. I will not do it as I feel it is unnecessary.

Not having to do any clipping, stripping or trimming is one of the things I like about Basenjis!

Try googling the venue, I saw a pic of it this morning, it does look big with parking for 100 cars.

I have also had a look on Google Maps and it should be ok as long as the bowling green, tennis courts, football pitches and children's playground are not all in use when we are there!

The judge seemed courteous and professional to me when he judged Poppy. The show had a lovely atmosphere and even the footballers and skate boarders etc. did not seem to be any trouble. This is the last time at Brampton so let’s hope new venue is better if we are indoors. Well done to all the winners.
