Check with Iris Craven, Kasai Basenjis. She is in Maryland and might know of a vet in your area… and also might be able to help you with the IPSID dx. She is a long-time Basenji breeder and has been around to see many many things happen in Basenjis.
Help Please….

I requested by PM that forum admin. update the "Fanconi Testing" portion of the "Important Basenji Health test" sticky. It reads as follows…
**
FANCONI MARKER TESTINGThe Fanconi Marker Test can be done as soon as the animal is able to give at least 3cc of blood. This is test result will automatically become public in the OFA database. Dogs must be registered with the Canine Phenome Project, http://www.caninephenome.org, in order to be tested. For pet basenjis, if the parents DNA status is unknown or 1 parent has not tested clear, it is highly recommended that this test be run. Early detection of this disease can help slow the progress of the disease and improve the quality of life of the animal.
**They requested back that I provide the content. Can you all post how you'd like it to read and I'll copy and paste into my reply email the content you all agree on. I think it's important for our new readers IMO.
