@ibi_n_sane: how funny, never heard of that, makes me wonder why they should not need teeth for eating veggies? they need to chew them too right? yeah…that is a load ;) that would mean that cows, horses, gorillas? wouldn't need teeth... I agree that dogs probably shouldn't be penalized for missing an incisor...but does it lead to missing molars (big problem for crunching bones)...and missing canines (big problem for catching prey)? I don't know, because I haven't run across more than one Basenji that was missing an incisor.

@youngandtired: To me that expression in the first pic looks like he is saying, "What's up everyone this is a piece of Cake! I love these pictures, and I can't believe how he has grown, seems like just yesterday you were posting pictures of your new puppy. He is very handsome, and I love the stacking. How do you teach them to do that!!!!! I would love to teach Sahara that only b/c I love the look, not to show her, I just think it looks so cool. Thanks, and yes – it does seem like just yesterday dh had that weak moment and let me bring another B home. ;) Stacking w/mine has been pretty easy. I do it just like I teach them to sit, etc. I hold a treat and tell them to "stand", and put my hand under the belly to keep them from sitting, tell them "good stand" and give the treat. Once they "get" that, I tell them to "hold" and keep them at a stand for a few seconds -- if they move their legs, I move the legs back and say "hold" again. Once they "get" that, I tell them "hold" and move their legs back a bit into position, telling them "hold". Really, only takes about twenty minutes total to get them to understand "hold".

Yes, Andrea, we did brave the plane trip (that was when my husband and Tex were stranded overnight in Pittsburgh due to snow) to Cleveland several years ago. Tex won the Breed on the day Animal Planet was filming the Group Judging. We were really excited until we saw the finished product - Tex and Bob got about 1 1/2 seconds of air time as they were panning the Group! If you blinked, you missed them… Oh well, we still have the sleigh bells he won, and Tex learned that snow melts when you mark your territory LOL Terry
