Musical yawns
-
We have noticed that when Malaika yawns she nearly always makes a high pitched sound, hard to describe realy but very cute.
I wonder if it's a Puppy thing or do adults do it too, Benji never did. -
Mine all do it. Belle mostly though. It sounds kind of like YOOOOOWWWWW. Sometimes quite high pitched, sometimes quite gravely but always gorgeous

I'm hoping Malaika will keep on doing it, it's soooo cute.
-
Bella does it almost every morning. Sometime a string of 3-4 yawns with different sounds for each one. Almost like she's trying to talk.
Neither of my other two did it.
-
Mine do it also, Belle more so than Kwame and Cali.
-
Kananga does it all the time, mostly when he wants attention or he's frustrated/anxious about something.
They usually come in high pitched, but they turn into lower growly pitched yawns in different moods.
When I have people over, they find it quite comical. He'll sit on the couch and "yawn" at them in a lower tone. It's really the vocal behavior I hear from him.
-
Gbala at the age of 9+ is still doing it so it's not just a puppy thing. Gbala'd disagree as she thinks she is still a puppy!
-
Otis does it too, that is like the only sound he makes, unless he is unhappy and cry/howls..
-
Bowpi, five years old, does it. It is the only vocalization I have heard her make so far, and it's terribly cute.
-
Yeah my Cairo does it too. Everytime he yawns, a lot more noise when he wakes up in the morning.
-
Yep, Maya does it too, i love it!
-
Marco Polo does it too, VERY LOUDLY. I've about jumped out of my skin on several occasions because of it. Silly old man senji.
