So from time to time I go to the OFA website and check out the basenjis (and breeders) for fanconi status and other health testing info. I noticed something on one page that I wasn't sure what it meant.
On some dogs instead of a 9 letter/digit registration (Ruby is AKC registered and has a 9 character registration) they have a 15 letter/digit registration. And when you go into the individual page about the dog, they have the fanconi status but no other health information. The sire and dam have registration numbers but when you do a search on sire/dam reg numbers the message you get is "unknown other than as parent".
Are these byb or puppymill dogs? There is no other health testing information on any of the ones I've looked at. Are the 15 letter/digit numbers not AKC registration numbers and is just used to identify the dog for the OFA?
I'm just curious.
