June, Gypsy has been mentioned in the Breed notes in one of the UK dog papers, so hopefully you may get a response thorugh that. I don't recall how she came to be in Rescue. There can't be many Basenjis in Cyprus. Have you been able to discover her breeding?

This boy is a cutie but was returned after adoption because he did not get along with another male dog. It states that he gets along with most other dogs, house cats, and kids but will chase outside cats and other furry critters. He also has no hearing when he chases things and enjoys sleeping on the bed-sounds like a typical B! He is kenneled trained.
The shelter is approximately 70 miles east of Minneapolis, MN. I have not contacted the shelter to see if he is still available.
Here is his Petfinder page:

Well took the three hour trip over there, brought my "B" over to see how they did. They got along so good, brought him home. First two hours here home was spent chasing and rough housing. The story behind the missing leg is that he was found, taken to the humane society and quickly to a vet. Leg was badly mangled and bloody mouth. X-rays showed an old bullet wound and a bullet and the missing teeth in his stomach. Leg just to far gone to same. Now he has someone to play with and acre plus fenced yard to run in. He sure can run and stairs are no problem.

Bless you, that's all I can say. Thank you so much for giving him a second chance to learn what a good home is. Most of my dos are special needs, they enrich my life so much as he will enrich yours. You are a wonderful person.

DaveDave you are an angel - a true angel! I wish I was close enough to give you a huge hug. I just feel that good karma is going to be following you now for the rest of your life. I keep my fingers crossed that everything will continue to work out well for all of you. I feel in my heart of hearts that this is going to be a super win/win situation.

I'm not sure who is luckier - the dog who got a new home, the dog who got a new playmate, or the people who got a new dog and lots of entertainment. Congrats to all..

This put such a big smile on my face. Thank you for stepping in! And I'm so excited that a forum member adopted him so we can hopefully get some updates periodically.
