• So I go walking my little BaMica at this new condo place I live at this evening and this lady in a nice expensive car slows down to look at me and I figure, ok she must live in this complex too, but than she slows down and starts speaking to me out of her window and suddenly accuses me of not picking up my doggie do-do! As if she didn't have anything better to do. She said she had watched me three times through the window and seen me not picking it up. Well being that she was a stranger, and I had never seen her or known her until this moment in my life, it put me in a defensive mode and I grabbed my bag of Mica's do-do out of my pocket and showed it to her as proof that I did pick up my dogs doings. I told her I pick up my dogs droppings 99% of the time and I make sure I have my doggie bags with me and that if I don't I come back and pick those sweet nothings up, too. I have seen other people's dogs doings in similar places too, but to suddenly accuse a complete stranger and than try to argue with me? That really slew me the wrong way. That bad of doggie droppings in my pocket was a sweet weapon that I wanted to keep showing to her. See? This is in my hand and I have it here so you can see it again and I know I pick up my doggies dodo, I wanted to say. Don't you see this? I wanted to repeat to her? Who do you think you are anyway, miss stranger in this fancy car and than you want to accuse me, a responsible dog owner of not being responsible?

So from now on first; I will make sure I find out where she lives, NOT say hello to her, and make sure my Mica never comes near or sets foot in her yard. Of all the little people in this world.

  • You are nicer than I would have been, I would have really had to hold myself back from dropping the bag of droppings into her lap! LOL!

  • I was standing at the end of my own driveway with Abbey one day when this lady slowed down and says, "Thank you for cleaning up after your dog." I just looked at her and rolled my eyes because I had actually only been getting my mail. So then she goes, "That is if you even do clean up after it." I just wish I'd HAD a bag of poop because she might have been wearing it!

  • yep, i might have just flung that bad of doo doo on her fancy car.

when it comes to dogs and kids i have loads of patience
    adults are another story

  • I must say-I would have flung it at her, and made sure the bag was open, right in her car window! I live in the country, (sort of) and I end up having to go to the ditch to clean up other people's because they won't and I have to mow the ditch. You can bet if I see someone, I tell them to clean up if they don't, but at least I watch them to see if they're cleaning up or not!

  • But if you fling the thing, and it lands at or in a well-aimed place, what are the legal consequences?

  • If you're not in front of your house-who knows, I probably couldn't hold myself back. If you are, (I guess I couldn't throw it then!) I don't think after listening to me she'll want to come back. I don't mind someone saying something, but if you acuse and you don't know what you're talking about-I tend to get a little upset.

  • I always cary my sh!t sacks:) sorry if that is offensive. I use them for the litter box (the 4gal sented ones) also.

I only forgot once and we were close to my sisters house and Squiggy starrted doing that funky walk and I drug him all the way into her yard. I dont think it counts if you leave it in your yard or your sisters :p
but she had a baggie for me.

However my neighbor and his beagle leave #2s all over the neighborhood. But no one says anything because he is very old and really nice.

That would just irritate me to no end. It was YOUR yard! I probably would have been very sarcastic and wanted to irk her by saying something to the effect that you think it is funny to leave gifts for the neighbors. and then smile and say "see ya tomorrow" and give her an exagerated wink.

  • :p @BaMica:

That bad of doggie droppings in my pocket was a sweet weapon that I wanted to keep showing to her. See? BaMica's mom

Thanks, that will have me laughing all day. and I am sure the next time I have a sweet weapon in my pocket I will laugh when I think of your story and hope a car slows down to do poop patrol.
    :p
That really has me chuckling over her at my computer. In fact someone just looked at me funny.

  • …And the psychological do-do war games continue....:)

  • Wow..what patience you have…I would of threw the poop in her car and from now on every time my pup took a poop, I would tie it up really nice and take it to her door step and plop it right there as proof. Ha!
