Enzo is a male 8 year old Basenji. He is my best friend and we try to go to the beach as much as possible during the summer months. He loves running around in the water, which I know is a rarity with basenjis.

Congratulations on your new 2-legged pack member and how well Tucker has seemed to recover and accepted his new baby brother. Bless you and your family and again, congratulations. P/S….you're probably a step ahead of other newer moms. Having a Basenji in the home means you've already baby proofed the house.!!!! :)

MacPack, where is Dogwood Park located? I haven't heard of it. I live in Orange Park and we have a fairly nice one here several miles from me. They too have a large pond and wooded area and plenty of seats, even a few hammocks for us humans. We have had a membership in the past; now we only go sometimes as a visitor.

You should be strip testing her, until you can get the DNA testing done. Let me know if you need info on this.

Welcome, from another Ohioan. We are on the north side of columbus and have 1 r/w boy. We have occasionaly taken him to the Westerville dog park but his behavior has not be great lately. We have cut back. We also help BRAT transport and foster. Great to have more B's in Ohio. I see so few of them in Columbus.

Hello Basenjinewbee I'm browsing for Atlanta area members :) I'm actually new to the area with my partner and our 2 basenjis. I met up with Andrew, Carrie and their 2 basenjis at a great park in Norcross last Sat and we'll be there tomorrow at 11am if you're interested! Look at the Events and meetups thread for more info.

Thanks for the responses. I will post pictures as soon as I can figure it out!! In the mean time there is a pic on line of Kate and her litter mates….. http://www.basenji.org/african/ImbaTena.htm Scroll half way down the page. She's the one on the far left more concerned with sleeping than the foto op. The black on her muzzle is gone now but if you look at the 2 pups on the right with their tails uncurled, there is a black spot/stripe inside their curl. Kate has that. Other than that, she's all r/w and takes after her dad in that "he's not very brave" and the diplomatic comment concerning his big feet! She's a big foot for sure!! I just looked at her grandmum's picture again, it's been a while, and that's our Katie from another time. Looks just like her

Her name is Mattie and she is a real sweetie. My son brought her home from a mission trip in Appalachia. She has become my shadow and we just can't imagine not having her around.
