She has a black saddle. You can see her saddle better in these pix.

My B's and the Foster
It's been awhile since I have posted here. I check from time to time though. We have three B's of our own - Willow, Benny and Tess plus a Schipperke named Bear. We are currently fostering a very handsome brindle boy from BRAT named Fox.
-
Tess is 6 months old this week.
For those who have followed Tess on FB since she was born - she will be 6 months old on Thursday. She is growing into quite the princess (she can't be queen since Willow has already laid claim to that.) Here they are waiting for mommy to come into the house

RE: Benny and Willow have a New Playmate - Tess
She is a rascal. She has no problem getting Benny into trouble, he really loves her. Willow acts as if she is Tess's mother and Bear grumbles at her, but he enjoys the attention she gives him.

RE: Benny and Willow have a New Playmate - Tess
I do not know why the others did noot make it. Tess came to us from Camp Jean via a foster that was wonderful for her.

Benny and Willow have a New Playmate - Tess
So we adopted Tess, a Basenji pup who was rejected by her mom at two hours old. She was hand fed by some wonderful people in Kentucky and ended up as the sole survivor from a liter of 5 pups. The family who saved her started a facebook page for Tess and we are continuing to keep it up. the link is below.

RE: Benny and Willow Foster Skittles
Thank you.
Skittles is actually the one in the foreground. The one with the saddle is Willow.
Here is a picture of Skittles by herself. She is also on the BRAT page from Indiana…

Benny and Willow Foster Skittles
Benny has been in his forever home with Willow now for about 8 months. Since both are rescues the two of them barooed about it for awhile and decided to help other B's in need. They sent in the forms and volunteered to foster.
So they sent thier human to pick up Skittles and bring her home. Skittles is a 6 year old little girl who likes to play, cuddle, run, cuddle, walk, cuddle and get into things and oh yeah, Cuddle.
Skittles and Benny rough house and play together. Skittles and Willow talk to each other about who is really in charge. When Benny and Willow play, Skittle tries to intervene as does Willow when Benny and Skittles play.
Of course, they all volunteered to help repair the shed, but when the time came to actually work, they just laughed.

6 Months Now
It has been 6 months now since Benny decided to make our home his forever home. He has settled in quite nicely and has decided that my 3 year old grandson is his best buddy. Last weekend, after an overnight visit from my grandson, I converted his crib into a regular bed. Well Benny has decided that he will wait for my grandson to return….

Benny's New Chew Toy
Benny has been with us for about three and a half months now and has gotten pretty comfortable here. He has decided we needed to make some changes and he would be more than happy to help.
We replaced our living room furniture after he decided that the chewing the previous animals had done on the couch was not good enough and he had to expand upon that. The good news is he doesn't chew the coushions any longer…. However, that doesn't exclude the handle for the recliner.
He has also decided that he doesn't like Indiana University......He must be a Purdue or Notre Dame fan, we haven't figured that out yet.
He decided that the cable and phone lines coming into the house were in the wrong location and decided to help me move it. Real considerate of him.
Of course, Benny still enjoys his pearch on the back of the new couch.
He has decided that my son, who was home on leave from the US Navy was a good play toy.

RE: Benny, Willow and Bear Looking for the Kitties!!!!
We are waiting for our new living room furniture. The 8 year old couch has an "owie". It was started by a pair of birds - A Conure and a ****atiel.
The program won't print the type of bird, I believe the program thinks it is an obscenity
They would sit on Mommy's shoulder and pick at it.
Then, before Willow moved in with us, she would come to visit and she would suckle on it.
Then the Great Dane puppy would suckle on it.
Finally, Benny suckled on it and chewed on it and really tore it up.
It won't print the type of bird, I believe the program thinks it is an obscinity

RE: Benny, Willow and Bear Looking for the Kitties!!!!
I got a GE X5. List price was $175 and I got it for $99. It takes excellent pictures. Not real fancy, but I don't need fancy, just good pictures.
The camera does allow me to resize the pics to make uploads managable.

RE: The pups tackle the world, uuhhh the yard
Gotta love the climbers. I have a 6 ft. privacy fence and Willow will climb over to chase the neighborhood cats if she is left alone outside.

RE: Benny and Willow Update
Not too long before Benny came to us we placed our last Great Dane on a farm in northern Indiana. He is doing very well there.
Willow raised him from a puppy. She is doing a good job teaching benny manners also.

RE: Benny and Willow Update
Thank you,
The black "creature" as you say, is a Schipperkee. He is a 12 yr old that we recscued and adopted when he was 3 months old.
We have been working Schipperkee rescue and fostering for 12 years. We also help rescue and work with Great Danes.
Of course Willow is a 41/2 yr old B mix that is also an adopted rescue.

Benny and Willow Update
Benny has been in his forever home for about two months now and is adjusting very well as are we. He has severe seperation anxiety and will cry and pace the back of the couch when my wife or I go out the door. The pictures show that he has decided where he likes to sleep best. He does like to play with his buddy willow.

RE: Benny and Willow Pics
That's Benny on the right. I believe he probably is smiling. That picture was taken his second day here and I think he is happy.
