  • Those are great shots, Dean! What camera did you wind up getting? Electronic technology is so amazing - every couple of years there are real evident changes in the workings of cameras.

  • I got a GE X5. List price was $175 and I got it for $99. It takes excellent pictures. Not real fancy, but I don't need fancy, just good pictures.

The camera does allow me to resize the pics to make uploads managable.

  • Great pictures, love'em when they are on the couch back like that..

  • We are waiting for our new living room furniture. The 8 year old couch has an "owie". It was started by a pair of birds - A Conure and a ****atiel.
The program won't print the type of bird, I believe the program thinks it is an obscenity
They would sit on Mommy's shoulder and pick at it.
Then, before Willow moved in with us, she would come to visit and she would suckle on it.
Then the Great Dane puppy would suckle on it.
Finally, Benny suckled on it and chewed on it and really tore it up.
It won't print the type of bird, I believe the program thinks it is an obscinity

  • Lovely pictures - I'm glad that we have no feral cats!! The local domestic ones are in enough danger here! My Basenjis don't distinguish between their prey - rabbit or cat if it's furry (except their own of course!

I am not in your area, but ... you should know that dog training is about teaching you how to interact with your dog, as opposed to teaching your dog how to do things. Most area Kennel Clubs offer training where you are your dogs partner in the class. The things you will learn will last your lifetime. I applaud the non-punitive approach. A lot of people fly off the handle when their dog chews on the wrong thing, or doesn't quite have potty training down. One of the best things you can do is give them love when they do it right and don't react when they don't. Recognize that he's just a pup. You can trade an acceptable chew toy for your shoes, and you can avoid the problem by closing the closet door so your pup can't get to your shoes. Accidents will happen and learning to potty doesn't happen overnight. Just provide a lot of verbal love when the pup gets it right and don't react when he doesn't. Love and praise are the best tools in your training bag. Congrats on your pup. Can't wait to hear about all of your adventures!

He sure is cute! I especially like the picture of him with his nose in the tube. Pretty funny. Is that a doggie day care facility? If so, it looks like a neat place.

@renaultf1: You got your collars from Around the Hounds in Canada didn't you? I recognize the first blue one and the one with the bees. That is where my b kids get their collars from as well…the owner Char is super nice and helpful. Tough to pick which ones to get as there are so many nice ones. Right ! Char is indeed a wonderful person ! These collars are very well manufactured, very nice and very strong. And the price is reasonable as they are all handmade …:)
