The ears say Basenji. I have never replied but felt I had to this time. I have a Basenji-Pitbull mix named Daisy. It was Daisy's ears (and behavior) that I discovered her to be part Basenji. I have not found another breed with the ears such as Basenji's have. I'm sure I will get "crap" because I have not had DNA or other testing done but there is no mistaking, Daisy is part Basenji. I think its important to know if your dog is part Basenji because in Daisy's case she is 98% Basenji and 2% pitbull concerning her behaviors and personality. Daisy is 2 years old and it has been quite a learning experience owning such a smart, stubborn, loving, mind of her own, amazing dog! Daisy is a mix but I have to train, teach, go outside to yell out frustrations cause of her (and no I'm not kidding, but never in front of her) and all that goes with a pure Basenji because trying to train her like a normal dog does not work.

I have two tattoos, the first is my dear departed Thunders' paw print. It's right above my heart.I got it four months before he passed.
I'm so glad that I did,as I had no idea he would leave me so soon after. The other tattoo is of him running full out. It was taken from a pix of him at a LGRA meet. It's on my left upper arm.
I feel very comforted by having these tattoos,I look at them daily and remember how special he was.
I would recommend anyone who loses a special B to get a tattoo of them. It is a healing thing. At least for me.Kathryn D. Ladick

I don't have any tatoos, mainly because I have never been able to pinpoint something I know I would be happy with for the rest of my life. But I am pretty sure I could be happy with a Basenji tat forever

I was wondering when i was watching it if he might be a member, really pleased he is, was lovely to see someone so positive about the breed. And he was rather lovely to watch

Awww… I approve!
Rocky1, would love to see pictures of your tattoos if you don't mind sharing.

There are a few exhibitors in the northwest that I have spotted basenji tattoos on and I remember seeing a spread in the basenji magazine or maybe the BCOA bulletin about someone who had a mural done on her upper back in color. It was pretty cool.
I have tattoos myself but have yet to acquire anything basenji related. Key word, yet…
-
Wow, very cool. Quite a mellow basenji IMO.

Irena - love your dad's tatoo of Geasy - the artist did a wonderful job! If I were a guy, and if I were younger, and if I could stand the pain, I'd definitely have a B tatoo!
-
Irena, your dad's tattoo is beautiful!
I've been thinking about getting one of Cody or to represent Cody, but I haven't figured out exactly what yet. I have about 17 regular tattoos now, so I think my best friend deserves to leave his mark too -
Irena - What a super tattoo of your dad's.
I think it's a lvvely idea and I'm admiring of you brave people with your tattoos.
