    Seattle was cold and dark all June it seems.

    But the sky is clear blue and the temps are soaring into the 90s now.

    Shaun prefers it cooler.

    I have been giving him ice cubes to play with but they keep melting…

    It's been in the 90's here in Ohio the last few days and my bud could care less about ice cubes…I wish he would...water and play at the same time. Mostly he just bothers me to go out to chase the bunnies in the yard and expects a full water dish when he comes in. I'd put a water bowl outside for him but the way my house and his 40' lead are situtated...he just knocks it over every time I've tried (no fence). So, he goes out back, chases the bunnies, and I fill up his water bowl for when he comes in...it works for us.:)

    Hi @Vesna, it’s interesting you say that about the spay. Our tri-color actually just got spayed this week and her coat shed before that. I noticed small amount of black hair growing in where she shed, hopefully it grows back. What phase is your tri-color at? Did this just happen?

    Ah ok cool thanks, I had something like that when Safi was smaller and it was the most successful for sure. She outgrew it quite quickly though

    I can't listen to that, it would wake my girl up and well... I'm not into a "sing along" just now. ;) I will say that many canines howl and yodel and bay (at the moon, whenever a fire truck passes, etc.). I'm not certain that any one breed is distinctive enough to have a sound all their own, but many a proud owner would probably assert so.

    My undergraduate degree was in geophysics with a minor in applied math. I name all my Basenjis after Indian mathematicians. My current Basenjis are Madhava of Sangamagrama (Madhava for short) and Bramagupta (Bramagupta for short). They do respond to their "short" names.
