An evening with grandparents!

    My parents spent their first evening babysitting Sonny & Julio (the Chihuahua) at the same time..I returned from my evening out to find my mother on the couch with a basenji & Chihuahua wrestling for the prime spot on her lap…..and my father in the hallway nailing down the carpet. It seemed the dogs had spent the last 2 hours chasing each other around the house sending the hallway carpet flying when Sonny would round the corner at full speed...often 7 pound Julio would go flying with it :D:D My mother told me she loves her four legged grandkids but she finds the 1 year old human to be less work!!! :eek:

    Sounds like the 2 are having a great time together! As far as the carpet and more work than the grandkids, that's what happens when you put an African dog with a Mexican dog.:D

    Hi @Vesna, it’s interesting you say that about the spay. Our tri-color actually just got spayed this week and her coat shed before that. I noticed small amount of black hair growing in where she shed, hopefully it grows back. What phase is your tri-color at? Did this just happen?

    Hlo buddy , if you not go there yet then i want to tell something. Due to the current COVID situation, a lot of the limited pet routes are not even flying. Working on getting a dog into the US right now. Domestic lines are not flying animals at all and the International lines have limited airports. I think five; JFK, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, and one I can't remember. And cargo shipping will not be also an option as other members are also saying that. You need to check status for ground shipping. Check any service provider who done that in one go. Check Citizenshipper ground pet shipping and get enquiry about your condition. One thing is sure that you can let your lenny in airline with 22lbs. I can feel your pain. Check other options otherwise you might have to leave him or cancel your program Hope you get good alternative.

    Numerous times I had my 2 out for walks and people asked if they were Chihuahua or Fox terrier. "Basenji"?? It was always great to educate them especially when they at first would say "it's clean, doesn't bark and is the perfect size for my elderly mother who lives in an apartment". "Oh no no no, there's more to it than that".
