Has anybody else spent all day refreshing the videos page online, in hopes of seeing the basenji breed? And is anybody else now frustrated because they're exhausted and really need to go to bed, but you keep staying up for "just 5 more minutes" in hopes it will be loaded by the time you brush your teeth, let the dogs out for the last potty break, etc?

Down in the bottom right hand side of the page, it has the entries… I was wondering if those entries correspond to who the actual dog is, we are watching in the ring ??? It looks to me like there are more dogs than entries ???
Who was the Bl/Wh please ???
Last one... Just curious as to the awarding of the AOM. We dont have these down here in Aus at all. Are the 2 dogs that received this award, the 3rd and 4th best dogs, in this judges eye ??? Not as good as the 2 winners, but good enough to make special mention of them ??? I mean no rudeness in this question, I am just really curious about what it is all about :).
Its lovely to watch the video. Everyone talks about how different it is showing in America to the UK but i think it looks pretty similar actually, its just the placings that confuse me!
I just watched the pug judging video… WOW... Pugs are HUGE in america! Whats going on with that? Was not impressed with them at all...
I was impressed that the announcer added a disclaimer in his description of the breed this year. He used the normal description of it being the barkless dog, but caveated it by saying "this dog is not for everyone". Just as the novice hostess commented after the description "why wouldn't everyone want a barkless dog"?

And glad that the whippet, greyhound, and scottish deerhound won in the hounds group - I was getting tired of the beagles winning. And glad to see the other groups also had "non-traditional winners".
I was encouraged to see how much air time Blade and Erin got - I was thinking maybe that meant they made the cut at least… but not to be.
It just seems fitting though, whenever we have gone to Group, seems like they ALWAYS pull the PBGV and the Whippet in front of and behind us! (In 'regular' groups, they are not alphabetical as they are at Westminster)
Yeah, I thought Blade got a lot of air time Sometimes I feel like if you blink, you'll miss the basenji.

AOM's are award to the ones that were highly being considered for Breed, on that day, not as good as the one the judge picked for breed, but high up in consideration.
You would need to look at the breed entries and see who was absent, then on the video, in the beginning is it according to the catalog numbers as to the order they are shown.
So, in looking at the video, seems they were not in catalog order… need to match the armband with the catalog (if you can make out the armband)
I recently found out Callie's sire, Sundiata's Pi R Squared will be shown! Can't wait to see it!

Going to Westminster was a real neat experience and I want to put this info out there in case anyone needs it next year. We found easy transportation by taking the PATH train from Jersey City Journal Square to 33d street very near Madison Square Garden (MSG). Parking near the PATH terminal was easy and cost 10 dollars for 12 hours (I can't remember how much it was after the 12 hours) and it was a garage with a parking attendant. We found 12 hours to be more than enough because we were pretty beat after fighting our way through the crowds in MSG. The cost to take the PATH one way was a whopping $1.75. It was easy to do and took only about 30 minutes. It was fun to see how everything works.
Thanks for the info guys, really appreciate it, especially about the way AOM works, as it is totaally foreign to our show rings. It may happen at some breeds specialties, but that would be all
