Looks like you will have your hands full! The video made me chuckle, especially how quickly it happened and how the pup looked excited to make it to the sofa!
Ready to add an Air Force Basenji to the pack!

Hello!
My name is Michael. I am from San Diego, California but am in the United States Air Force and am currently stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have been researching and planning for my Basenji for the past couple years. I am hoping this year will be the year I can bring him home!
I own my home and have a fenced backyard. I have been married for 2 years and my wife is also from San Diego. We have 3 cats, 2 Bengal cats, one male and one female, 1.5 years old. We also have an 8 month stray that has turned out to be a very loving little guy and gets along great with everyone. We keep them inside but we do take them outside on leash for walks and to let them explore. They also don't mind water too much and are fine taking baths and out in the ran.
I posted a thread in the "Basnejis for Sale or Wanted" area so if you don't mind looking through it there is a bit more info in there. I believed I titled the thred "WANTED: Male Basenji Puppy". Anyways, I am excited to finally join everybody in having a Basenji as a family member, I can hardly wait! I just now registered but have read this forum in the past and found it to be a great resource among owners.
Nice to meet everyone, hope to share lots of great memories and pictures and info with all of you over the next many years!
Merry Christmas and Happy New year
Michael

Welcome and welcome. Thanks for doing the research first….and thank you for your service to our country. I have lived near Wright-Patterson AFB most of my life and know many folks associated with it. But I have never met another Basenji owner from the base. You will love your new friend more than can be described, they get into your heart somehow, and there is no going back. We love pictures when you finally get you new best friend.
Again, welcome!

Thanks very much. It makes it easier out here in Afghanistan knowing you have people behind you back home. I appreciate your support.
My Aunt's house was my second home and she always had many different kinds of animals to play with from ponies and goats, to reptiles and birds. She also bred purebred pomeranians for a decade and I had fun helping out with that. Animals have always had my heart since I was very little and everyone knows me as an "animal person" and always say that all animals like me, which is pretty much true. I must give off a good vibe for animals or something, haven't figured it out yet. Maybe it's that calm-assertive energy Cesar always talk about

Well, I didn't realize that you were deployed. I just read your other thread. Nothing changes except I would like for you to tell each and every person serving for us "Thanks":D And when you get home and get your new Basenji we will have many stories to tell.:)
