    Finally Saw my first SET of Basenjis here in Kapolei Hawaii!!!!! I was driving by the high school right by my house when a Silver Truck pulled up next to me at a light with not one, but TWOOOOOOO Red and White Basenjis in the back of the truck! Of course, I, well… I kinda freaking and started beeping my horn and they gave me the weirdest look, but when they rolled down the window and I explained that I too was a B owner, they were as excited as I was!! I am hoping to make some new B friends around here!!!! TOO Stoked to have seen a third now in the Ewa/Kapolei area and ALL RED AND WHITES :))))) Guess Hawaii is kinda cool after all LOL

    Ah ok cool thanks, I had something like that when Safi was smaller and it was the most successful for sure. She outgrew it quite quickly though

    I can't listen to that, it would wake my girl up and well... I'm not into a "sing along" just now. ;) I will say that many canines howl and yodel and bay (at the moon, whenever a fire truck passes, etc.). I'm not certain that any one breed is distinctive enough to have a sound all their own, but many a proud owner would probably assert so.

    We use ones from Rukka. Not sure if they’re available everywhere but they are they best ones we have tried (others always fell off, especially in deep snow). I think having two Velcro closures on each sock has been key. I also prefer the soft shell ones as our B seems to accept them more and they don’t twist as much as the ones with a hard sole.     My undergraduate degree was in geophysics with a minor in applied math. I name all my Basenjis after Indian mathematicians. My current Basenjis are Madhava of Sangamagrama (Madhava for short) and Bramagupta (Bramagupta for short). They do respond to their "short" names.
