    Sandie refuses to go out in the rain unless i drag her out under the tree … then its hurry up lets go back inside... Butttttttt... immediatly after it stops raining she will go straight to the mud and dig dig dig... tonight she did that and befor i knew it she had mud scatterd from one end of the house to the other...I screamed she made a dash for her crate like she didnt do it... A roll of paper towels and 1 load laundry later all is forgotten...

    Ohh yuk! I can almost see it happening. Well I hope Sandie learned her lesson! Do you think she connected her dirty paws with your scream? Course kids & dogs don't think about the custodial work already in our daily schedule . . . DO THEY!?! :mad:

    I think my grown kids that still wont move out are worse to pick up after than Sandie… And no if theres mudd any where she seems to find it... we just really have to watch her feet...And it looks like rain today... grrrrrrrrrrrr

    Ah yeah though the site that I saw clearly had a picture of a Basenji representing the breed! Your link, they look nothing like Bs

    Hi @Vesna, it’s interesting you say that about the spay. Our tri-color actually just got spayed this week and her coat shed before that. I noticed small amount of black hair growing in where she shed, hopefully it grows back. What phase is your tri-color at? Did this just happen?

    I can't listen to that, it would wake my girl up and well... I'm not into a "sing along" just now. ;) I will say that many canines howl and yodel and bay (at the moon, whenever a fire truck passes, etc.). I'm not certain that any one breed is distinctive enough to have a sound all their own, but many a proud owner would probably assert so.

    We use ones from Rukka. Not sure if they’re available everywhere but they are they best ones we have tried (others always fell off, especially in deep snow). I think having two Velcro closures on each sock has been key. I also prefer the soft shell ones as our B seems to accept them more and they don’t twist as much as the ones with a hard sole.
