  • Omg! Those are great! I love the mummy :)

  • God, I love dressing up "my kids"! hehehehe

And you can really tell she likes it… :)

    My rich bitch.

  • Lol- your dogs have more clothes than I do! Those are all great! I've only bought one outfit for Kitiara. It was a cute little red sundress. I put it on her, turned around for about 5 seconds and the dress was torn to shreds.

  • Lexi LOVES to be dressed up. She'll even hold her paw up to put it in the sleeves for you. She's very good. I think she just likes the attention. She doesn't like things on her head, but she'll do just about anything if I ask her. She's just really good like that. Miles.. well, he'll tolerate a few things. I ought to find that lion costume I bought him last year for Halloween. His ears stick thru the top and he's got a furry mane… but he's too fat to velcro is shut, so he can't wear it this year. ha! He's gotta go on a diet. Ok, ok... and I need to exercise more!

  • How do you get them to wear boots, I tried some on Indi last night to gaurd his paws from the hot pavement and he acted like I was torturing him. After about 5 mins i had to take them off because I couldn't get him to quit throwing a fit

  • Thank you for the wonderful pictures. I wish my B's tolerated costumes. The closest time I came to actually dressing up one of our dogs was with a Batman costume. The mask was a no go, but when the B 500 started with the intent to try and dislodge the body of the costume, that cape flying in the wind was as impressive as all the special effects in any Hollywood movie!!

  • The christmas picture is pretty funny - the bottle should have been between his paws (or maybe it was and that's why the funny face :D).

  • I've had Lexi since she was a puppy. Most of the pics are of her. She lets me do whatever. I raised her to allow me to touch her feet and to be tolerant of being handled. And she really just likes the attention. Putting little outfits on demands that you get on the floor with her and talk to her and stuff. She just really likes it. And she loves taking pictures. You turn on your camera and she comes running!! You can pose her and ask her to "stay" and she'll hold the pose. And then of course you just point in the air where you want her to look and she'll hold the pose AND put her head in the right place. LOL… She is special.

We don't have the running shoes any more... mainly because we didn't NEED them. She hates the snow and it doesn't get THAT hot here. I just thought they were cute and matched her running harness. ha! :)

As for the Christmas picture- it was caught mid-yawn. I got lucky! ha

  • BDawg,

What will the Halloween costume's be this year? I know you have something fantastic in the works.

  • I have no idea… but I did see a really cute Elvis costume today. hahahah

If the dogs are having similar symptoms as in the previous years, they need to be treated ASAP! It is my understanding that many are developing the acquired Fanconi Syndrome and need to be put on the protocol. Many vets though do not have the equipment to do the venous blood gas test and get an accurate diagnosis. Emergency vets should have the equipment. Do not buy any dog treats that come from China and if the package does not state where it is from then do not buy it! Jennifer

I have had a couple stained glass made, but there is normally a 3-4 month lead time as the artists are already booked up for Xmas this yr. Most of the artists on etsy will be booked this late in the yr, I had two quilts and a needle felt made a couple yrs ago and I placed my order in June in order to guarantee Xmas delivery. If you have a nice photo, there is a company called treasure knits that does wonderful woven afghans out of a photo with about a one week turn around. I have had both afghans and pillows made from photos as xmas gifts from them and they do great work.

@tanza: Got ya…. and how nice of her to sit up and puke!!! I am lucky (knock on wood) all mine ride great... crate pads keep them from sliding around and they just sleep anyway.... Sure makes clean-up easier! I used to keep wipes in the car to clean her, esp. before shows! ew. I just layer plastic bags in the trash can, and tie 'em off as used, then toss when we get to where there's an outside trash can. I'd make video to show, but really, that'd be gross  She's really good in her harness, so it works out quite well. As I said, Keoki continues to be my car challenge in terms of how to best travel with him. But he loves going in the car in general.

Hollie will hide her treats and her dog food. Her favorite hiding place is under MY pillow in the bed. She has tried to hide her entire food bowl by pushing one of her plush toys with her nose in an attempt to get the toy on top of her food bowl. Why doesn't she just use her mouth to pick it up and place it on the bowl? Silly dog!

Yes I agree Pat, Fort Funston could get very crowded and dangerous for smaller dogs as packs of bigger dogs playing could cause injury. My 2 Basenjis were very good and stayed pretty close to me and got used to the crowds. The only problem I had there was with this lady who had an older Tri color female Basenji. It would bite my blk/wht, Nika who was 1-1/2 on the butt. A few times of that and I stayed way away from her. The problem is Nika was a very playful girl and never did anything like that. A few times of getting nipped on the butt started her doing it to other dogs and Basenjis. A Basenji would want to play and Nika would chase and give a nip and the the other dog would get mad and a fight would occur. Nobody would ever get hurt thankfully. It was rare that it would happen as I took them there for 9 years, mostly on the weekend without problem. We had a lot of fun and people loved the Basenjis! Ringo, the red/wht was a very entertaining clown when we'd go down to the beach.
