    Hello,

    I am Kim, living with my husband (kas) and al lot of animals on a big ship!
    We transport farmfood and other materials from one plca to another in Holland, Germany and Belgium.

    We have one black cat, Spaiky
    4 Little parrots, one mouse and two rats..

    And of course Two Basenji's!

    Well, at this moment one Basenji…
    Tomorrow we pick up our second puppy Chafuko.
    He is now 9weeks old, and comes from the same breeder as Buana.
    Buana is a red and white Basenji, who loves to walk shows. (he is Netherlands Junior Champion and had 4x Netherlands CAC, 2x Belgium CAC and 2x Cacib) Showing is very new for us, we're showing once in a while but Buana seems to be a pretty boy :)

    Chafuko is a Brindle Male, we're waiting for over a jear now..
    We did visit him a lot in the weeks he lived by the breeder!

    English is not my strongest point, but you'll understand the most of it I hope!

    Our ship is 80 meters long, named Spranky (after my first dog, a stabijhound)

    The breeder of our Basenji's is Toka Kilima. from holland.

    My husband wants a sail boat. We are thinking a Catamaran type boat.

    Yes, she stayed with us for four months. She is going to Australia and we took care of her a while. So the breeder had enouch tim for her other dogs.

    She is now gone for a month but we miss her very very much, she took our hearts….
    We wished she came back and never have to leave again...
    It's hard to let go such a sweet dog...

    @Brushyrun: I joined the BCOA back when their Bulletin was just a few sheets of paper stapled together. I don't know where in Arizona you spend your winters, but there is a Basenji Club in the Phoenix area. "Basenji Fanciers of Greater Phoenix". They don't meet very often during the summer but they do during the winter. Hey there Bev, welcome!!!

    Yep, when it comes to Basenjis, it pretty much is a small world. Humvee, aka Tex Son, (he got his call name because he was the biggest puppy in his litter) has had a great show career, and you couldn't ask for a sweeter temperament - although the whole litter was was fabulous. His mom was a total love, and his dad is still incredibly handsome and devil-may-care at almost 11 years old. Hum loves to play with puppies and hang out in the house with his human mom. So although I haven't met Reba, I'm sure he will pass on his love bug genes! We will be hoping the news is good and you soon have a noisy, lovable troublemaker in your life. Terry

    @Scampy: Hello, everyone! I am so excited to have stumbled upon this forum! I belonged to Basenji Companions until last year, and I miss the community and advice. I have one basenji, a 10-year-old red & white male named Toby. I adopted him six years ago as a "golden opportunity" dog when his show/breeding days were over. He shares the house with three humans and a cat. (We may be inheriting another cat, but don't tell him…I'd sort of promised him a little sister.) Any other west Michigan folk out there?     Yup, that's correct. I do feel sorry for the breeder, because I first contacted him in December, when the testresults of Jenson weren't known yet. Now he still hasn't sold one of his pups.. I haven't heard from the other breeder since I told her that we would like to have her pup. (this was on monday) I hope she contacts me very soon!
