We wanted a Mata Hauri basenji since we live across the river from her Plainfield location.
We ended up getting a black/white boy from out of the area.
Were abouts in southern NH are you? I'm in the central VT area. 🙂
We brought our "doodle Bug" (aka GCh Undercover Yankee Spitfire at AB) home 2 years ago today. I have never had a dog as amazing as she is. She's smart, like a Raptor... you can see her working things out in her mind. She's always ready to play (with my son, who likes to chase her, grab her up and toss her onto his shoulders). She never puts down my homecooking. Well, only once in a while. She curls up with me most nights and lets me stroke her fur until she is so relaxed she drifts off to sleep. She's the most perfect little girl I could have ever hoped for! To everyone on her breeder/owner/show team, Thank You!
Great photo! She’s beautiful! You’re both lucky to have each other!️
The photo is precious- it looks as if she’s playing coy. What a sweetie!
You are so lucky to have found each other. I am glad she works well at playing with your son, and has learnt that the best food is human food. Keep smiling with a good Basenji to reside with you.
That’s one heck of a look she is giving the camera lol.

LMAO -- I don't usually stick the phone in front of her face. She clearly didn't understand what I was doing.

She probably just didn't have anything to say !
@elbrant That kind of sums it up, I figured a mixture of “why are you doing that” and “I’m about to do something very mischievous” lol.
