@jalex Well, Welcome back home to NJ. I got some nice doggy coats from an online store Dover. Made just like a horse blanket so they don't slip to the side when the dog is doing a B500 run. There is a Dover store in Del Hockessin that lets you take your pup in for try on if you are not into measuring. I got a nice rain coat and a good heavy winter blankie for my girl. Regular doggy stores have lots of cute sweaters. Not sure about the boots. Lost my Basenji girl a year ago so never had a chance to try the boots. I think a fellow made them for his dogs. Will try to get the link and see how he goes about it. If I find out I will pass it along.
Fostering a pup that looks like Basenji

)) ![0_1499868283044_IMG_2761.jpg] Hi All!!
I've just started fostering dogs for a rescue group in Northern Idaho. My first is a 12wk old pup named Ruger. Basenji is a rare find in Northern Idaho, and most of the other fosters say Ruger is german shepherd mix with maybe hound. I don't see it, & I have had GSD all my life. This guy doesn't bark at all. Squirrels, cats, mules, other small barking dogs..... not a peep. But he does like to posture like a rabbit and leap onto moths. (See photo of posture) He made one small sequel and single bark last night in his crate. His tail doesn't curl tightly, but does curl when he is curious about something. Cute guy! Tell me what you think. Thanks! -
Cute pup, but I'm not sure about Basenji. I would like to see side on pictures standing. How tall is he and how much does he weigh?

Agree with eeefarm... how big, side view. Whatever .. that's one cute pup!

His height is 20". That's too big, right?

Yes, too big. Should be 16 - 17" at the shoulder. Possibly a mix, but only a DNA test will tell you for sure.
