@sanjibasenji
Thanks for the article on Dog Genome Project - I found it very interesting. I was trying to figure out the interactive Genome wheel. It has the basenji closely related to the Azawakh and rat terrier but I’m still trying to figure out the first wheel which has the basenji listed w/ black/grey starting point. As far as the PBS Dog Tales video - it’s very interesting - it’s season 47 episode 2 - I highly recommend you watch the whole thing (54 minutes).
Corn chip feet

Okay, I am in a bit of a comical mood this morning.
Has anyone bought corn chips and let their basenji smell them? Do you think the basenji might be thinking "why are my parents eating something made out of my feet"?
-
Hahahaha, that's funny!
-
ROFL. I saw you post something like this before and their feet do smell like corn chips…that or Cheetos. Sometimes people can't smell their own feet maybe this is the same for dogs??
-
LOL, they can smell them since they lick and clean them and are up close. But I am sure their greater sense of smell makes the difference between cheetos or corn chips and their feet smell wildly different. Very funny though. And since my dogs would eat them in a second, maybe they think "how do they make something taste so good that smells like feet?"

LOL Debra - that gave me a good morning laugh!
