we still have "butchers" here in Australia. these are usually local shops, that sell meat. After they have cut up the large sides of beef, they are left with some bones. The bones you are after are the breast bone, which is usually discarded as waste, but is good for dogs. Get them to cut the bone (which is about 1 metre (about 1 yard) long), into the size that is good (mine are cut into chunks about 7.5cm (about 3 inches)) or whatever size you want. The cutting is done on a bandsaw so no effort on their behalf. The advantage is that there is no debris left for the motor mower to fling at your windows, or for insects to settle on. Even at the supermarkets there are some to be had, but find out from the meat section when they get deliveries. You will pay more at the supermarkets, but you should not pay more than necessary.
Feeding Veggies and Dried Fruit

Other than what mine eat with their meals, which are cooked or raw and shredded, they don't "do" vegetables or fruits. I dropped a blueberry once and Zuni ran to pick it up. I thought she was going to eat it but instead she thought it was a great tiny toy to throw around.

What do you give them as meals that are raw or shredded?

yes, Zest decided NOT to eat the blueberry this morning. Thankfully the malinois ate it so it didn't get moved around the house and stepped on later. However, Z will eat craisins. (dried cranberries) I often put either in the muttloaf, so i thought maybe she'd eat the fresh blueberry.

Mine eat everything. In fact I have a dried fruit container for treats. However, it is for flavor. Dogs don't process them very well unless you pretty much pulverize. When I fed all raw, I put their fruits and veggies in the blender. Now, I just share because they love it.

Basilboy, I feed my girls Halshan raw which is raw meat and veggies. I doubt they have it up there but you may be able to find something comparable. I cook for my vizsla, he gets chicken and veggies…yam, carrots, kale, spinach, zucchini, whatever I decide to throw in there. They also get kibble.

Since I am a RAW vegan (meaning all I eat is RAW veggies, fruit and or nuts) , my packs gets lots and lots of treats in form of veggies and fruits..favorites are for sure watermelon ( I live on it :)), apples, avocadoes and oh, let's not forget about Pippin's fav…green smoothies..he loves lto lick my glass after I am done drinking it..hehe...so healthy. Although he is known to go into our chicken coop and just steal eggs out from under the hen, so he has an unhealthy side as well...;), they all steal eggs if I don't watch out...

LOL dogs are carnivores. If your dogs are restraining and eating only the eggs, not the chickens, I'd say GOOD DOGGIES, lol. Raw eggs, including the shells, are actually fine for dogs.

Debra, you are right about that…..our dachshund kills them if we let him wander unsupervised, but Pippin and Moses have not even attempted yet, they just love their little boneless chickies..i.e the eggs.

Thank you! I'll look for that or something like it.
