Not that you can tell always from pictures, but I would not say that this is a quality bred Basenji (conformation wise). So my guess from a BYB or PM/Pet Store
5 year old brindle Female Basenji in WI

Ok who is in WI can go see about this one?

I've forwarded it to Shawn Smith to see what he can do. He's head of our BCOSW rescue committee. I've got the name of the WI BRAT contact somewhere, and I'll forward it to him too.
-
I got an email from Shawn, and he said the owners wanted to surrender Kaia to the BCOSW rescue group but they were contractually obligated to return her to the rescue group, Madison Mutts, they got her from. Apparently, Kaia has been in and out of rescue for a while.
-
So what does this mean will happen to her?
Rita Jean
-
Well, if the shelter does not want to surrender to BRAT, I would imagine she would stay with the rescue until she gets placed. I haven't heard back from the WI BRAT coordinator.
-
I do so hope she gets a home for life so sad.

I tried to check her page again (I'll have to admit that I fell a little in love with her), but it's no longer there. Hopefully that means she has been adopted.
-
Crystal, I just looked and her page is still there for me, so..if you are still interested in a little princess…LOL
-
That's so weird, it still comes up as "Oops! The pet you've tried to access is no longer listed on Petfinder.com!", even when I click on her picture under recently viewed pets.
I would love to adopt her, but I can't right now for a number of reasons, so I just keep checking back on her hoping that she gets adopted soon. I have been doing the same thing for Rosie on the BRAT site.
-
I know what you mean. I have a few what ifs that I look at too..
-
I got the same it was gone. I do so hope she has a home for good this time.

I got the same message now, she hopefully is adopted by a competent B owner, or at least someone who have done their homework..and knows what lovely pets B's make..LOL
-
We can only hope this is the home forever and she is happy.

I hope so!
