    Does anyones B go crazy if you blow on the botom of there feet. Just back ones. Jaycee was laying on bed with her feet in our face and we blowed on bottom of her feet and she goes crazy playing. This can make her go into a Play Storm. :p

    I do something similar with my B. When he's playful, i'll grab his feet, which then turns him into an even more playful mood. He usually runs back at me and bows, which makes it appear as if he is tempting me to grab them again. Funny to watch.

    That is SO funny! Had to try it of course, so I blew on Shaye's feet while she was lying on the couch. She just looked at me as if to say "What the hell is wrong with you - you losing it completely, stupid????" Which of course, is funny in itself. They are such a trip.:D

    LOL, I had to try it as well, and Cody had a simlar response, only his expression was more like, "Can't you see I'm trying to take a nap? Jeeze!" Then he got up, circled, and faced the other direction with a huff!

    Basenjis are very catlike in that they groom themselves and they like to be clean and their beds clean. BRAT.com has a lot of excellent information about the breed and their quirks. Be sure to check it out.

    @sharronhurlbut: Fran, use baby wipes on his feet. I use it on my b's. Sharron - glad to see your reference to baby wipes - I have often wondered if I could use them on my girls when they get their feet and legs nasty at the park - I thought if I could get most of the mess off them it would be easier for them to keep themselves sparkly white - but - then I thought maybe it would be bad for them to lick whatever baby wipes leave on - what do you think?:confused:

    I am so sorry that Maya was attacked. I am fed up with people who let their dogs off the lead when they obviously shouldn't be. I avoid places where I am likely to encounter other dogs, you would not believe the goings on re-dogs at the country park it almost makes you feel ashamed to be a dog owner. You are lucky Maya coped so well. Fiji was bitten by a Rhodesian Ridgeback when she was a puppy and she is now terrified of bigger dogs.

    I have two females and two males that live together without problems. I have another female that has to be separated from the other two females and can only be with her male buddy. So I've had to separate into two packs. I have a mutt(short legged basenji:D ) that has seen all the basenjis come into the fold, four of the basenji's I trust around her two I don't. They're all different IMO. Male and female pairings seem to just work out the best. Raising them together as pups up's the odds for success, but things can certainly change as they get older.     Sahara went out her doggie door once before I could get her collar on as well, but thank God she didn't go beyond her boundry. I also have the underground fence and she is afraid to go even close to the boundry. I had to spike it up b/c I found her in my neightbors yard once chasing a cat. The problem was she would not go back over the boundaries to get back in the yard. I had just got back from work when I saw her, I would freak if she disappeared. She will also chase the cars that pass my house, but stops short of the boundry. It is a good thing I have it or she would be dead by now. Sometimes when I come home from work it is dark and she is sleeping somewhere new in the house and I freak when I can't find her. I will start calling her and she comes to me slowly and stretching with a look like as if to say, " Yea, what do you want, I was sleeping sooooooo good". haha!!!!!:D
