Yes to the suggestions to get her checked and also spay her.
Aggression may not necessarily be vicious but rather reaction to the scary situation she encountered. It can be dealt with through consistent and regular training (with treats to start) - you might try the Fenzi Dog Academy online classes (they have a great class for retraining reactive dogs). But regardless you need to be more aware of her surroundings and not put her in a situation that may be scary to her or at least get her attention back on you (treats) when you can't avoid the situation.

Thanks all, we are really enjoying Otis in our lives. He is very sweet and different I must say even as a puppy. I am about to try and get some pics added so you can see how pretty he is.

Welcome Petra and family. We'd like to see picks of everybody, especially Otis.

I keep on getting the mesage that my link or something like that is missing a secure logo or something. I even tried getting the pics from photobucket but can not figure it out. I am working on it though so bear with me.

He's cute! We need more pics! He's really dark brindle, very nice!
And: welcome!!
-
He is a very dark brindle which is one of the reasons we picked him.
I took some more pics and he is (in my eyes) beautiful when running in the sun. Nothing is as pretty as a Basenji running, of course none of those pics turned out, but here are a few others of him….
Enjoy, Basenjimamma

Wow, he's really a handsome B!!

What a pretty pup. Thanks for the pictures!! and welcome to the forum. I'm partial to the brindles.
I have an older brindle guy who's more of a black over red. Yours looks more like a red over black. I never thought to look here to see if there's a color distinction amongst brindles. I will now.
Again, welcome Otis and family.

Thanks for the warm welcome Snorky998, we are glad to be here.
-
He looks so joyful! I have a huge soft spot for brindle boys
-
What a sweet face! Congratulations. Love brindles.

Thank you all so much. Otis is getting more and more used to our other dogs and chickens and he is "blossoming" into a very curious little, or should I say big( at 18.9lbs at 4 months) boy.

Welcome to the pack – what a beautiful boy (but then what basenji isn't beautiful).
The look in his eye makes me think he's going to grow up into a real teaser
