    Make sure it's a nice critique, ok..?! ;) :D

It's a lovely place to walk! There is a nature park next to it, with 'wild' cattle, deers and horses.. Beautiful! (dogs, of course, aren't allowed over there.. but you can still watch the animals from a 'hill' if they are close enough)

Tillo is 'over' his itching, but the prednisone he got works for another two weeks.. So we still need to find the cause. We have to decide to change the food to only duck & rice for the next 6 weeks, or to do an allergy test.. Or just wait and see.. which isn't really in my nature :D

    i'll try my best:D

We had to do allergy testing for Kwame when he was younger and found out that he is allergic to cats, dust mites,2 types of weeds and chicken. It was actually the chicken that was causing the problem as that was what was in his food so we just avoid it now.

And did you do a blood test or a 'scratch' test.. where they inject antigens in the skin?

  • @Janneke:

It was the scratch tests he had done, poor boy was covered in dots where they put the various antigens.

    :(
Did they also give him injections with the antigens to make him less sensible?

Edit: I just read you avoid the chicken :D

Another edit: How old was Kwame when you noticed he was allergic?

  • @Janneke:

    :D
Yes that was going to be the next step if thngs didn't work out with just avoiding the chicken, but thankfully we didn't have to go any further with things.

Good for you and Kwame :)

I think this test is a good option.. Better then feeding duck/rice and then keep adding things.. because that will take forever.. And of course.. if it's not the food….
It will probably be expensive.. Tillo is expensive.. we've just been to the dentist because Tillo thought he could chew on metal... Sigh.. ;) :D

  • That's why I decided to do the test, otherwise it could have taken ages to find out the cause and I couldn't see him scratching for much longer:( Is Tillo insured as our insurance paid for it all to be done thankfully as it was expensive, though i would have still paid it anyway but it made it easier:D

No, Tillo isn't insured.. (soooooo dumb.. but our other dog never saw the vet.. argh..) But I don't mind paying if it helps him :)
Maybe we will try to first get an insurance.. :D

Ah no, it is worth a try getting the insrance first but as he has already been seen by a vet for the problem before you took out the insurance they might not pay for it:( no harm in trying though:D

Yes, I know.. I'll ask the vet about it..
I'm just happy to see he's ok for now :)

He can run off-leash allmost everywhere here. Most days I don't need his leash at all. Only have to watch for foxes. He really hates those and will go after them untill he gets them. Good thing is he has an excellent recall. And he is allways watching me, wont go further away from me then 50 meters. So walking him isn't a problem at all (as long as no foxes cross our path that is…).

Amazing photos - must be an amazing camera to catch such great motion shots! I love how many of them are such detailed pics of the dogs, but with blurred backgrounds. :)

Otis, or should I saw my Dachshund Gus, thinks stuffing is unnatural…the animals should be sold without them, and squikers (SP?) too. Both of them love the animals once they are limp, unstuffed, just the stuffed animal skin...that is when they are the best..In Otis' and Gus' humble opinion..

Great looking dog in some good looking threads! I have yet to successfully get Hollie to wear clothing. I am seriously considering a raincoat and booties. Cleaning and drying her gets tiresome.
