  • Ch Eldorado's Echo Of Amicon

I suspect this name was a catalog typo and the dog is actually Ch Eldorado's Echo Of An Icon.

Congrats to all the winners and placements!

  • I´m so glad Efia´s litter sister Garbo aka Wazin Red Empress became best bitch puppy R/W 9-12 months in the sweepstakes and at the regular show way to go girl:D

  • Yeah for "Sean" Eldorado N Akuaba Never Say Never for his
Reserve Winners Dog and Best Bred By Exhibitor.

Sean's daddy "Rocket Man", AmCdn CH Candu's Rocket Man,
was also RWD at his first national specialty!

Brother Sir and sister Raven also placed in their big puppy classes!

That is really cool about Rocket Man. I was so happy to see how the "Never" kids did at the National.

BTW, Kathy, my girl Ruby (Ch Eldorado N Akuaba Bejeweled) is Sean, Sir and Raven's mom. So does that make us in-laws? :D

And FTR, former B Forums regular, Basenji Boy owns Raven :) I bet they are thrilled!!

Actually, the Raven that BasenjiBoy owns is not THIS Raven. This Raven (Eldorado n Akuaba's Nevermore) is owned by Andrew Sawler (same person that owns Eldorado Echo of an Icon…"Jimmy"). BasenjiBoy does have one of the Never pups, though...Rylee (Eldorado n Akuaba's Never Been Kissed)...a red girl. My understanding was that Rylee was at the National but misbehaved on the table...

Ooops….that is right, of course! Their new girl IS Rylee...sorry about that!

Congratulations to all of the dogs and your daughters, sounds like they had a wonderful time. Good size entries too! My Rufus was a little 'B' when he was in puppy (still can be if he feels like it) we entertained everybody with his antics, it does get better!

Thanks Clay, Arlene & Andrea - it was definitely a tough spring. :( Thankfully things are starting to look up. Ozzy has been a really happy addition to our home. It is nice to have a basenji attuned to me :D - he's such a momma's boy. Yes Arlene, Ozzy is from Jean's band of 9 :D. Hey the last time she bred a litter there were only 2, so this evens things out I guess :D. And Clay, hard to compare - ice cream social or French wine ;)… but all kidding aside, if I go to France for only 2 weeks, I may try to do a brief fly in (no dog) to 2011 National like I did in KY last year - but I have much time to figure that out...

@tanza: Field Trial is for dogs/bitches that have received their Field Championship in Lure coursing, usually… sometimes it will include Senior Courser titles.. and many times will be a Dual Champion (DC in the front of the dogs name) that stands for Conformation and Field Champion Thanks! :) My first guess was that it had something to do with lure but wasn't sure.

@Janneke: I finally have his judge report. I tried to translate it to proper English.. but please correct me if I'm wrong.. Young breed representative of four months. Square construction. Elegant expression. Beautiful topline and outline. Splendid head with beautiful wrinkle formation. Small dark eye. Beautiful straight legs, bit stronger angulation on the hindquarter. Already beautiful forechest. Very well condition with supple skin. Moves gracefully and light-footedly. Already excellent show qualities. Beautiful presentation. I love how your shows have written critiques. This is not done at AKC dog shows so you never really know what the judge thinks about your dog unless they happen to make a comment.
