I thought this was about getting one, lol. We do have a great thread on why people got into the breed:
New Africans at Basenji Park
-
Let me introduce these new African Imports…..Angali (red female) and Asuma(Tri Male). These are from the Democratic Republic of Congo in the area of a city named Ngilima, in the Dungu village......they came from the Zande tribe.
They have just arrived, my wife and Son picked them up (with the help of..... JYS1101..... thank You:) ) in NYC last evening. The folks that went to Africa to get these and some other pups, spent eight days in the jungle.....they paid $6.00 for each.
Greetings from Basenji Park

The tri is amazing. They look so much like regular basenji's. I guess breeders here have not really changed the breed that much.
So what are they like?
Are they just like your others?
Are they people friendly
-
OMG!! That is soooo cool! How great that you guys can be involved! They are lovely! How are they adjusting?

I had the pleasure of escorting the Basenji Park Staff to pick up these precious little pups I have to tell you they were AMAZING…I almost didn't want to let them go home. DH was disappointed he didn't get to meet the pups but it was late & the staff had to get back to Basenji Park for closing
The r/w female was SO adorable & licked everyone who carried her & then snuggled in your arms for some shut eye.
The Tri boy has the most beautiful velvet coat I've ever seen on a B  he was too precious!! And a sleepy boy too

We do look at it as an honor to be able to have them here.
He has the white on all fours and his tail, he's smaller than the female,
It is going to be hard…...they're pretty darn cute.:D
