    Like a B mom doesn't have enough to deal with in the morning…running, feeding, potty time, and of course getting ready for work....

    NOT THIS MORNING!! After our morning run we went into the fenced in tennis court to do some training & a little play time for about 10 minutes. Somebody is walking his dog on the side walk near the park and C3PO decided he was going to go BONKERS because of the dog :eek: :eek: :eek:

    He pushed through the closed gate of the tennis court & squeezed himself free. I went into panic mode!!! :eek: :eek: :eek: He paid no attention to me at all. I had Topaz on her leash quick & dashed out to chase him. He ran up & down the park fence like a crazed animal...and me behind him trying to catch him! The dog & owner still on the other side of the park fence on the sidewalk. The owner still on the side walk with his dog trying to calm down C3PO for me so I can catch him...I wrestled him down to the ground & squirmed away again but NOOOOOOOO instead C3PO found a whole in the fence & runs out into the street and gets to the dog on the sidewalk (nothing happened) but still running around CRAZED & DERAINGED (sp?) I was practically in tears begging him to come to me.:o :o

    The poor guy finally got him & his down down on the floor & C3PO came close enough to them so that I could grab him & wrestle him to the ground. OH MY NERVES, MY HEART, MY SANITY.....

    That's funny. I can picture you and myself doing this. Hey extra 500 calories burned for the time..just in time for summer. Gotto look at the brighter side or we would all be BONKERS!!! I love these stories, reminds me I'm not alone. HAHAHA

    Ah yeah though the site that I saw clearly had a picture of a Basenji representing the breed! Your link, they look nothing like Bs

    @nyoung15 My basenji was super picky when he was a puppy.... until I started to cook for him amazing recipies heheeh, but then pandemic season was over and I had to go back to work and started to give him whole barf ( raw food ) it comes with meat veggies, fruits, raw bones and vitamines.

    Ah ok cool thanks, I had something like that when Safi was smaller and it was the most successful for sure. She outgrew it quite quickly though

    I can't listen to that, it would wake my girl up and well... I'm not into a "sing along" just now. ;) I will say that many canines howl and yodel and bay (at the moon, whenever a fire truck passes, etc.). I'm not certain that any one breed is distinctive enough to have a sound all their own, but many a proud owner would probably assert so.

    Yes I agree Pat, Fort Funston could get very crowded and dangerous for smaller dogs as packs of bigger dogs playing could cause injury. My 2 Basenjis were very good and stayed pretty close to me and got used to the crowds. The only problem I had there was with this lady who had an older Tri color female Basenji. It would bite my blk/wht, Nika who was 1-1/2 on the butt. A few times of that and I stayed way away from her. The problem is Nika was a very playful girl and never did anything like that. A few times of getting nipped on the butt started her doing it to other dogs and Basenjis. A Basenji would want to play and Nika would chase and give a nip and the the other dog would get mad and a fight would occur. Nobody would ever get hurt thankfully. It was rare that it would happen as I took them there for 9 years, mostly on the weekend without problem. We had a lot of fun and people loved the Basenjis! Ringo, the red/wht was a very entertaining clown when we'd go down to the beach.
