Hello Michael
I wonder if you can own a Basenji.
We have been looking for a Basenji while, and we need help with this as well.
I was curious about your experiences.
Thank you
Sinan
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a reputable breeder that still have openings on their waiting list for their next basenji litters this winter.
I'm from Canada, and the breeders I have contacted so far are booked up until 2024, I'm willing to travel to another country (but closer the better).
I understand that most breeders have long waiting lists and I am aware that I might not get a puppy this winter, but I would like to try my luck by asking folks on this forum in case someone would know a good breeder who still accepts applications for the upcoming season.
Thanks !
First of all, I commend your dedication. You could check the breeder that I got my pup from if you're willing to travel to Florida, He is very honest and attentive I highly recommend him. His name is Leo over at Mibre Corzo Basenjis.

You could increase your odds for finding a pup if you would consider bringing home an older dog. (example: My girl was 18 months when I brought her home.) Just something to consider...
@elbrant
Agree w/ @ elbrant - something to consider . You get a young dog that is often potty trained, walks on a leash, and understands basic commands.
I have a preference for a puppy, but am open to a young dog as well :).
Thank you for the suggestion @rhughes89 , I'll take a look!
