It's a teeny brag, but it's all I have…

  • Jazzy got first in her group today at the Nisqually Kennel Club show. :)
Another ribbon for my "Wall of Jazzy" in the family room!

Didn't get Winner's, but it's not her fault that Khani's brought a knock-out bitch to the show. :D I had never seen her before, but she was gorgeous!
My husband even said, "I saw her come into the ring and thought, 'Uh oh, Jazz is in trouble' " LOL

  • Awww…she is really cute! Congrats on the blue ribbon!

  • Were going to have to work on your bragging skills, just think of Jazzy as one of your kids who made an amazing goal during a soccer game. It’s not important that you lost the game, or that there were kids on the field who had better skills, all that matter is that moment, that specific goal.

Jazzy is an exceptional dog, which had Connie Paulsen, Funny’s owner, the other dog, sweating bullets.

Funny did finish her championship that day, so she’ll no longer have to compete against Funny in the classes. Congratulation to Kathy and Connie, Khani Basenjis, well done.

  • LOL, Bryan. I suppose it comes from all those years of my mom telling me, and me telling my kids, that it's not polite to brag! LOL

BUT, I really do have a Wall of Jazz in my family room that has a bulletin board with all her ribbons, and the three show 8x10's next to it.
So, maybe that's my subtle way of bragging to everyone that enters the room…?

@tanza: Great video… she looks good and typically "puppy"...gggg One pointer for you, when trying to move her front legs on the table, move from the elbow instead of mid/lower leg... she is less likely to pull it away from you.... Thanks for that! Will try that next time :D And yes the breed ring was tiny, and Maya (when she actually gets going) has such a long stride and trots out quite fast so it wasnt ideal. But better than being out in the rain :) Thanks for all the nice comments.

@Janneke: Will you also let them run the next day? I don't know as they have never run before.

@youngandtired: To me that expression in the first pic looks like he is saying, "What's up everyone this is a piece of Cake! I love these pictures, and I can't believe how he has grown, seems like just yesterday you were posting pictures of your new puppy. He is very handsome, and I love the stacking. How do you teach them to do that!!!!! I would love to teach Sahara that only b/c I love the look, not to show her, I just think it looks so cool. Thanks, and yes – it does seem like just yesterday dh had that weak moment and let me bring another B home. ;) Stacking w/mine has been pretty easy. I do it just like I teach them to sit, etc. I hold a treat and tell them to "stand", and put my hand under the belly to keep them from sitting, tell them "good stand" and give the treat. Once they "get" that, I tell them to "hold" and keep them at a stand for a few seconds -- if they move their legs, I move the legs back and say "hold" again. Once they "get" that, I tell them "hold" and move their legs back a bit into position, telling them "hold". Really, only takes about twenty minutes total to get them to understand "hold".

Yes, Andrea, we did brave the plane trip (that was when my husband and Tex were stranded overnight in Pittsburgh due to snow) to Cleveland several years ago. Tex won the Breed on the day Animal Planet was filming the Group Judging. We were really excited until we saw the finished product - Tex and Bob got about 1 1/2 seconds of air time as they were panning the Group! If you blinked, you missed them… Oh well, we still have the sleigh bells he won, and Tex learned that snow melts when you mark your territory LOL Terry
