  • Got this video of Tayda barking in her sleep. So funny… Tayda and lenny were sleeping together and Tayda woke Lenny up with her barking.

  • Hahaha aww this is SO cute! Dex has cried in his sleep a few times, but never that. He wakes himself up yelping sometimes… I wondered if that was normal or if he was just weird. lol

  • sooo cute - thanks for sharing! Our little Pondu is also barking while sleeping. Good to see, that this is quite common :)

  • Very cute - and good catching it on video! In my house, Ruby barks in her sleep quite often and so does Liyah - but I've never heard Brando or Oz do it.

I love how your two curl up together like that. Rarely does Ruby allow Brando to as much as touch her while resting - and in fact I've seen her stare him away. With my other two - Liyah prefers to sit/lie on top of Ozzy - but he loves her so much, he doesn't care.

  • Ours just snore, Kell and Sidhe are the loudest. So glad Kell opted to sleep in his crate rather than the bed at night. Would never get any sleep.

  • Lenny is always trying to get closer to Tayda. His favorite place is to be on top of her. I don't know why I bother buying two dog beds, one ends up being empty and they are both crammed into the other. She is quite tolerant of it, I think she just likes the warmth.

Sometimes Lenny barks in his sleep also, it's so hilarious.

  • Tayda was dreaming about running after bunnies and squirrels! :)

I can see that, to an extent. Cody and Moe, our mix, are inconsolable during thunderstorms. Thunder and lightning scare the crap out of them (sometimes literally), but the wind was around 80+ mph sustained and gusting to almost 100 mph at times, and there were a few tornadoes that touched down not too far from us (thankfully we were not in their paths). Our house shook with the gusts, but the boys were together cuddled up next to me or someone else the whole time. Maybe some dogs are more sensitive than others, or maybe they are sensitive to different things. Moe will pace, shake, and attempt to sit in our laps almost an hour before a thunderstorm comes, during it, and afterwards. Cody will pace and grunt but wants to be left alone during thunderstorms. There wasn't any thunder with this storm, though.

Mine sleep in all sorts of positions. When we brought our first B home, we had 2 cats, a GSD and a BC. The cats slept on the bed every night and that night the GSD came up too. The puppy B also slept in the bed. I went to bed before Douglas and when he came upstairs he decided to sleep on the floor because he didn't want to disturb the comfortable animals!!!!!! :D

@wizard: She looks like a bunny in the secodn picture :) Ha, ha…that's what I always say about that photo. And technically, she WAS a ski bunny that weekend. I took her for a walk out onto the trail that runs beside the condo so she could watch the chairlift and skiers and snowboarders. She was amazed - not afraid at all. In fact, she wanted to chase after them. :D
