We are so sorry to hear about Zelda's passing so young - I agree with MacPack that the heart is most likely the reason. She will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge - memories of her being happy and playing will sustain you. It's really hard losing a pet, and we all sympathize with what you are going through.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words. We chose to bury her on Gloria's land, next to where Gloria's kind horse Com was buried. We are strangely comforted by having Com right there to look over her.

We sowed wildflower seeds right before we left for home. It's Maine, so who knows what will bloom :-).

i wish we could fix this. still feels like a bad dream. totally random and senseless. all of the steiger love and basenji, goat, horse love we have is coming at ya. hope your day is good today and that simon continues to soothe.

Really beautiful picture. I've been looking at all the videos and pictures of her today. The one of her and Indy with Will looking on quizzically (Zelda with big fluffy dog and white horse) and all her puppy shots. She is/ was the cutest puppy EVER.

Oh that's such a beautiful pic. Tri's are so striking. I hope you don't mind that I saved that pic in my files. (I like to save pics that sort of "speak" to me. Hopefully to inspire me to do something. A modern day muse if you will.) She looks such the ingenue there.

I've only just come across this thread, sorry for not posting sooner.

I cant imagine how hard it must be to lose a pup so young, and so unexpectedly. She was a beautiful girl and she was very happy and loved with you :)
