  • Isn't she just?

And how did she get so tired??

    Hunting of course!!!

    Vicious basenji!

Found the prey, just couldnt work out the cage :D

  • Jess, she IS beautiful. I absolutely love the picture of her with her arm/paw over her nose while sleeping. I guess she does that to keep some nice warm air around her face. Just adorable! How is she with your parrots, especially when they vocalize/scream/screech. Does she freak out or ignore the sounds? We have 2 ****atoos, but no basenji yet - maybe sometime within the next year? Right now I am being a research hound. :)

  • I love when she covers her nose with her hands like that, she looks like a little baby!! No idea why she does it but its adorable :D

She is really good with the parrots. Im sure she'd eat them given the chance, but when im with her just sits and watch them and will have a sniff if they come up close (and hits them with her feet lol) but she is very good really. She likes it when Ruby, my big parrot, preens her tail :D

When the screech in the cages he goes rushing over and just sits next to the cage watching them :D

  • She is beautiful..hunting is hard work..Otis knows that to be true.

  • She so, so pretty! :) I love the pic of her and the parrots.. I think Tillo could spend many hours looking at those birds :D

  • Gorgeous pics of a gorgeous girl.
You are very trusting to leave that remote near her :D

I can see that, to an extent. Cody and Moe, our mix, are inconsolable during thunderstorms. Thunder and lightning scare the crap out of them (sometimes literally), but the wind was around 80+ mph sustained and gusting to almost 100 mph at times, and there were a few tornadoes that touched down not too far from us (thankfully we were not in their paths). Our house shook with the gusts, but the boys were together cuddled up next to me or someone else the whole time. Maybe some dogs are more sensitive than others, or maybe they are sensitive to different things. Moe will pace, shake, and attempt to sit in our laps almost an hour before a thunderstorm comes, during it, and afterwards. Cody will pace and grunt but wants to be left alone during thunderstorms. There wasn't any thunder with this storm, though.

Dan, instinct kicked in and had you pick up Buddy instead of go for your camera. I think that was a wise move. Glad you both made it home safe and sound.

@Kipawa: He's got so much character in his face! Quite the cutie. Does he take his half out of the middle of the bed? ;) Most definitely, lol. He starts out all curled up between us, but if either of us moves, he pushes his legs out and sleeps like he's in rigor mortis as if to keep us from moving into "his space". It's going to be interesting when he gets bigger…might have to use him as an excuse to get a king size :p

The light is mid-morning light from a south window into an otherwise lowly lit room and it just made the indoor background noise disappear into darkness. She is wearing a nice wool sweater my wife made for her, and a purple collar. Jenny has several nice sweaters made by Bridget or myself. She also chewed up even more before we got got the fit snug enough and became habitual about taking it off before crate time. renaultf1, I couldn't be more vaklempt to here that you found my advice useful and easy! It truly saved us during Jenny's early time with us. The 867-5309 is part of her name because we already named our first dog "Black Betty Bam-a-lam" (which is from a early 70's song by the one hit wonder Ramjam) and liked the song title 'theme'. :)
