You can have some of the snow here! It has't stopped snowing in about a week now. When the dogs go out to chase the squirrel they are bounding through snow up to their backs!
Maya's Puppy
-
Maya has adopted our little chihuahua puppy, she adores her. Evie has had a horrible start to life, the mum attacked her babies when they were born, Evie is the only surviving pup and I have had to hand rear her myself - hourly feeds around the clock for 2 weeks  Its been exhausting!! BUT, she is doing so well She was 2 weeks on monday, and this week Maya has been able to visit her baby. She LOVES her! She sits outside the "nursery" door to get in at her
Cleaning bums:
Helping with the feeding
Teaching baby to walk:
And cuddles:

The itty bitty puppy is adorable..she is a keeper right?
I am so sorry to hear of the horrific turn of events for the litter, glad you have one survivor.. -

I am so sorry to hear of the horrific turn of events for the litter, glad you have one survivor..Yeah I think Maya will be a perfect mum when she has babies
Evie is definately a keeper. We had planned to keep a boy from the litter (the two that died were boys ) but as i've put all this work into Evie my mum said that if she makes it I can have her It was technically my mums litter
LOL…. I am surprised that Maya has not gotten milk!!! Too cute
It wouldnt suprise me if she does start producing milk lol!

How precious! Evie is lucky to have you as her person and Maya as her adopted mom.

How lucky little Evie is to be with you and Maya. The pictures showing the gentleness and caring of Maya are too sweet for words. She will be an excellent Mom when her time comes, which I guess in many ways is now.

I'm so sorry to hear of the tragedy. Like Pat, I too am surprised that Maya didn't produce milk for her - I know so many instances of that - even when natural mum is ok. My own Jewel reared her daughter's litter from day 3 - although they are now 7 they still adore her and like mnothing better than curling up with and on top, of her!!
