@renaultf1: In my case 3-4 hours would be nice. Here where I live it is 2.5 hrs to Liyah's breeders and then another 6-9 hours to anywhere there was a major (NY - PA) last year. I'd LOVE 3-4 hrs. :D:D:D Yeah, I hear you. For majors it's a different story. Unless I'm really lucky at the two regional specialities (which I'm pretty fortunate to have easy access to) every other major will be a 6+ drive. Lure coursing will probably be worse!

Oh and teaching retrieve is soooo useful. I started with Z as soon as I got her. Her toy had a string leash on it, so the toy always came back. Zest quickly learned that if she brought me stuff, she got rewarded. So now she'll bring me all sorts of "treasures" she finds. Innovative little girl. She brought me a 1/2 dead rabbit, bones she finds in the yard, and her latest was a wrapper from a tenderloin cut of meat. Don't know where some of it comes from - we're on 5 acres and the wind blows like crazy.

She certainly has the right ears and markings…and she crosses her front legs. It's possible... Welcome!

Thanks! I went to a Malinois & multi-breed forum and the general consensus is GS-Husky mix. I didn't realize H girls could be so small. Thanks, all for all the great feedback! Kate & Giselle

Saba, The temperature up here was quite hot to state the obvious. LOL I have to agree with you that it is only at shows that we see a large group of basenjis. Seeing the basenjis is the only reason I go to the Royal Easter Show. Millissa loved seeing him after two years. Pepper has taken over and is showing Mister Two Dicks who is boss. It is funny to watch.

Yep, when it comes to Basenjis, it pretty much is a small world. Humvee, aka Tex Son, (he got his call name because he was the biggest puppy in his litter) has had a great show career, and you couldn't ask for a sweeter temperament - although the whole litter was was fabulous. His mom was a total love, and his dad is still incredibly handsome and devil-may-care at almost 11 years old. Hum loves to play with puppies and hang out in the house with his human mom. So although I haven't met Reba, I'm sure he will pass on his love bug genes! We will be hoping the news is good and you soon have a noisy, lovable troublemaker in your life. Terry
