Thank you. Everywhere I go she attracts attention and I call them members of her fan club. LOL
We've been putting her on my friends pony and I walk beside her. She walks around on him then she will lay down on him. She is still trying to get her balance on him She doesn't try to jump off. In fact when I pick her up near the horses she will try to get out of my arms and onto him. When she sees me harnesses my horse to the cart she gets all excited. She loves to ride in the cart too.

Kay-Dee is 2 1/2. The breeder only had the basenjis for a short time. She traded one of her Arabians for the bred dogs. She got hurt and had to sell the Basenjis.Arwen It's a minature horse yearling.

RE: New here
The last one I got from them was Keeper he died 4 years ago and was 15 1/2. We owned his father who came from Winart also. I did have a black and white that I got at 7 1/2 from a lady didn't want her anymore. The lady got her from Winart's at the age of 10 weeks. Poor Max was so neurotic, scared of everything and I could not get her out of it. She would attack Keeper for no reason other then when she left Winart's she was not socialized. She died at 13 1/2. My first came from a shelter in Augusta Maine 29 years ago. Then I met Skip (Winart) 28 years ago and a year after that got a tri female. I had 3 other red and white males from Winart, beside Keeper.
Kay-Dee came from Iowa because I couldn't find a breeder from Maine. She is a real sweet loving girl who is too smart for her own good. She is a lot of fun as the others were. i don't have the papers in her because I didn't plan on breeding her. The breeder didn't want her bred anyway and all I wanted was a pet. Spoiled by Basenjis.

RE: Lady Kay-Dee
Actually when I got her I took her out to see my horse she wanted to run right up to him. She was so tiny when I got her weighed less then 3lbs at 3 months old. I put her on Blue Buffalo dog food and she started growing her weight now at 2 1/2 is usually between 18 and 19 lbs now. Anyway back to the subject of her with horses. If I pick her up and am standing beside my horse she tries to climb onto his back. She loves to ride in the cart when I'm driving my horse.

westcoastflea1 They raised some real nice Basenjis. I had a total of 5 that I got from them. Wish they were still raising them.

RE: "Warning" about Bs
How true. I'm surprised no one has started Basenji Anonymous, LOL It's like pringles can't have one. Although I have just one now. I have owned Basenjsi for 30 years. I tell my dog loving co-workers about Kay-Dee's antics and they love hearing about her. She goes a lot of places with me and she has her own fan club.

RE: Question of passing out
Got report of blood work on Kay-Dee everything was normal. He wants another urine sample because the other had crystals in it, but he said it could be from setting at the lab it was sent to. So I will bring a sample and he is going to check for crystals himself.
He is sending the recording of the episode and bloodwork results to another vet that specializes in neurological issues to see if he can shed any light on it.
