Hey Guys,
I'm a newbie SoCal'er and I'm just getting acustomed to becoming a regular at the beach on the weekends. As I am a new lover of the beach and my basenji, I would like to combine the two.

When chilling and hanging out on the beach, i'd like to have my B, Kaylee, chilling right next to me, but would like to be able to go hands free, having her tied up so she doesn't go wondering.

Are there any "beach gadgets" out there that can dig into the sand that I can attach her leash and/or line to?

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions

Kaylee also is a Starfyre Basenji from Denise. I saw the b pups when I got her last year in the middle of December, i think Robyn just had the pups the week earlier.

Probably just a visitor, my wife found her in one of her companies' rent-a-cars. We are fostering it for a bit.

Its funny, at first we thought she was trying to eat her, but then we got the cat a bit more comfortable with her and now they play and chill out together.

Especially kittens….

Her name was Bibi before we changed it.

she's actually pretty small, probably 15-18lbs. The pictures make her look alot bigger than she is.

She has settled quickly, she's a great dog

Hey everyone, I just wanted to introduce Kaylee, the 3 year old Basenji. I've been on the hunt for a basenji for the last few months and finally found a great one. I picked her up last sunday from Denise from Starfyre Basenji's in Southern California, and so far she's been great. Now she's living it up just outside of Hollywood in Burbank, California. Here are her pics.

I am also in the process of talking to Denise about getting a basenji. She's really easy to get in contact with and is great at answering all of my questions in a flash. Hopefully we find a great pup

either puppy or rescue.

I did go to Karen's but they didn't have any B's available for us. The ones we saw ended up being too loud for an apartment.

I did see it. He looks like a really good dog. I saw that BRAT was contacted and there was someone planning to adopt on Tuesday.

If anyone else knows of any dogs closer to Burbank, California, let me know

We are still looking for a dog. Karen and Chuck didn't have a Basenji that would fit our situation as the ones we had picked were howlers when they were alone. They had even gotten complaints from these dogs and some of their neighbors were a good 50-100 yards away. haha

I've been researching this breed alot over the last couple weeks and my wife and I are looking to adopt a basenji. We visited the Medfly Brigade in Acton this past weekend and had a great time interacting with the dogs.

If anyone has a basenji that is up for adoption please let me know. We live in an apartment building in Burbank with plenty of space for one of these little guys.

Is there anyone who owns a basenji and is allergic to dogs and cats?

I read in many places that basenjis are good dogs for people with those allergies, as they have qualities that allow people with allergies to not have as many problems.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of the price scales for the rescue dogs for adoption from the Medfly Brigade in Southern California.

My wife and I are looking to adopt a Basenji.
