Sherwood's Breeding Plans 2010

Breeder Talk

  • Congratulations Robyn!

    Terry

  • Congratulations, I remember meeting Baron and what a sweet and good-looking boy he was. Possibly black pup? (my genetic education was many years ago…)

  • I am 99% sure that Baron is pure-for-red so I am only expecting red/white pups from this breeding. Next year, there may be black pups back at Sherwood. :)

  • Congrats, We are happy to assist with socialization when the pups come!

  • Houston

Very nice Robyn…keeping my fingers crossed for happy healthy puppies and mommy.

  • @MDSPHOTO:

Absolutely! All of my local friends are welcomed to visit as often as they want. :)

  • Congratulations! I know these puppies will be as beautiful, sweet, healthy and special as all the previous puppies that have come out of your kennel!! I can't wait to see pictures. And way to go Baron!!

    Pat
    Cory and Jayden

  • Pat,
Baron is Jayden's sire and Cory is full sister to Bindi so you know the babies will be awesome. :D

  • Congrats Robyn, and fingers crossed that all goes smoothly!

  • Taken Nov 24

    Taken Nov 28

And I wrote the wrong due date down. It would be Dec 2 from the first breeding. Changing the first post now. :)

  • Any day now….

  • Oh poor girl :) She looks so uncomfortable…I can sympathize...well, not right now, but you know what I mean...

How many do you think are in there?

  • I'm hoping no more than 4

  • Umm, excuse me Robyn, but maybe Sugar is waiting for Bindi?? Just a thought, you know how these girls are! And Sugar is about the same size as Bindi as well. It'll be interesting to see what transpires in the next couple of days!

  • Houston

Wow, she is ginourmous..can't wait to hear of the babies.

  • My first thought when I looked at the picture of the very pregnant Bindi lying on the couch was "How in the world did she manage to jump up there?".

    Pat

  • It won't take long now, poor mommy ;)

  • Bindi acted restless yesterday morning and she didn't eat breakfast. She was quiet most of the day but then did not eat dinner. She started to get restless again about 8 pm or so. The deliveries went smoothly and now we have 5 new babies. :D

    10:49 pm red female

    11:43 pm red male

    12:00 am red male

    1:23 am red female

    2:34 am red male

Although I couldn't feel any more pups, I stayed up until 4 am just to make sure all was well. I didn't get much sleep so just one pic for now. I'll get individual pics later. :)

    Group pic, taken this morning

  • Lovely babies Robyn. Now for a well-deserved rest.

  • Nice litter, nicely marked…..

Terry, Yes that's correct. She is one of the pups from Charro's trip to Sweden. I'm so happy that I got her, she's a real sweetheart with a lovely temprement. This is something that she has past to her babies.

They will be very pretty babies. Jaycee is on the down side of her heat I was not sure but I thought it was early but at least almost done. Rita Jean

Seems like the DNA sample would be easier to get too. I guess the advantage of the sperm count is that you at least know if the sire is fertile or not. Good luck, can't wait to see pictures of the pups to be.

4 sounds like a very manageable number.. I will keep my fingers crossed that they will come out in colors wished/hoped for. Either way they will be absolutely adorable, I am sure of that.

Hope you have a good trip and he is all you are looking for AND passes all health-testing with flying colors! The spring puppies we are having in the next month [both litters no less!] were the ones we'd planned for Fall 2009. So I moved up my 2010 breedings to Fall 2009… now the girls all need to cooperate with my plans!

Thanks Andrea and Robyn, That was helpful. Zoni isn't horribly mouthy but I definitely have some more work to do with her. I carry a nylabone in my pocket for the occasion.
