    I'm looking for a young male around 3-4 months old. Willing to reserve puppies. Tri-color is preferred, but more important is temperament and quality of dog. I would love a show-quality male. I live in Houston, TX and I am willing to come pick up anywhere in the US. I want a top-notch addition for my family of five. I prefer to fill out application so both parties are comfortable. I have been searching for a couple of years for the perfect fit!

    @yahtzee92 Just make sure you see Mom with the pups if at all possible and you definitely see the health certificates of both parents. OFA website is public domain - anyone can research on it. Tanza is right. Any puppy farmer can pay the BCOA and get listed. It doesn't mean there is any BCOA recommendation or guarantee.

    I just found out about Tucson last week nd this week we have company from out of town otherwise we would have gone. I will be checking with the two breeders I've found in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. I'll keep looking for a rescue. Thx

    I live in San Francisco and I'm very interested in adopting a Basenji! Could you please contact me and give me more information …. i have had numerous basenjis .. starting out with my two RAMSES and NUBIA they had pups .. and although they were not planned pregnacies .. went to very good homes.. I still have some contact with one family .....that bought two of our pups ...     @tanza: Great to hear…. and so much easier now that it can be done with the cheek swab. Yes, we have given an order for it at our Vet. :)
