@DebraDownSouth thank you. I have been in touch with some breeders fpund of BCOA, a couple of them expecting to have puppies in Nov, and ready to be in their new home by Jan next year. But i have not checked rescue basanji and BRATso will definitely explore these sites.

Welcome to the Forum. You will find lots of information and be able to share your experiences here. I will add to the request for pictures, of course - we love to see all the B's who are part of this group.

Welcome to the forum. I do see a tiny bit of G.S. in her body so maybe that was correct. Maybe the animal shelter gave you the wrong animal! Doesn't matter, you love her, she loves you.

That was a great story. My 12 year old Welsh Corgi did the same thing a couple of years ago. The vet watched her but she wasn't sick. Didn't learn from experience either - thankfully I did. I just recently "rescued" a Basenji from a puppy mill. Her name is Glory - my 6 year old Granddaughter really liked the name. Glory is wonderful but I have never seen a puppy clutter up a room as fast as she can. My 4 year old Corgi hides under the computer desk when Glory goes on one of her "rampages."

Congratulations on your new 2-legged pack member and how well Tucker has seemed to recover and accepted his new baby brother. Bless you and your family and again, congratulations. P/S….you're probably a step ahead of other newer moms. Having a Basenji in the home means you've already baby proofed the house.!!!! :)
