I'm glad I have to wait because it gives me enough time to prepare and be fully ready.. I like things to make sense
You sound a lot like me. I loved the time I had to prepare (puppy proof) our place before Kipawa finally came to us forever. 🙂
I have been listening to a lot of the news lately. Wisconsin is finally on the verge of putting a stop to our puppy mills.
I hope this works. please check it out. this is something all states should have
Volume breeders aka Puppymills already have to be inspected and licensed with USDA. We can't enforce the laws we already have. Their are not enough inspectors to go around.
It's a step in the right direction. This is a lawmaking function that should be reserved to the states individually, according to the 10th Amendment anyway. Dogs are not livestock and are not going to be used for food. Therefore, USDA does not really have a stake in regulating them. USDA garners its power under the "Regulate Commerce" clause of the Constitution's Preamble, a section that was never intended to carry the weight of law. (See Federalists Paper #41.)
