    Just turn left when you get to Riverside and head on into San Diego. There are a bunch of us here! ;)

    I think there are a few in the Ventura area too. We actually got Fiji when a woman in Oxnard had to rehome her.

    Stella Sapios (Astarte Basenjis) is in Carpinteria, near Santa Barbara. She has placed quite a few Basenjis in LA and Ventura/Oxnard over the years.

    Hi and yes there is a small group of us here in LA. We meet up on Saturday's around 10ish at the Laurel Cyn Dog Park. The park is a good size located on a hill side with lots of tree's and benches. If the weather is nice we average about 5 Basenjis. It would be wonderful if you are able to swing by one day.

    Aloof towards strangers - both me and the dogs – yes, me/them too. Stubborn - definitely both - We prefer the term indepentent thinkers Very inquisitive (have to know what is going on) - yup - well, them yes, me not so much. High strung - hooboy! Active yet can be very lazy…. also totally us. Smart/learn quickly - them yes - me - well, they teach very well but me? - see "determined" above.

    Hi Lori, I live in Redwood City (mid peninsula). There's an off leash area (Pulgas Ridge) in San Carlos I take Buddy to that's up in the hills near Interstae 280.     @Natalplum: You both are in my thoughts. I hope your DH comes home safe and healthy. You will NEVER be lonely with your B's around. They are the best to call on for some love and comfort. Not to mention a lot of laughs! That's the best thing having a B brought into my life. I was so depressed, and then along came a B to make me laugh again. Worth their weight in gold, for sure….
