Help Feed Shelter Animals

  • Please visit Free Kibble and play the dog and cat trivia games. You can visit once per day and donate 10 pieces of kibble for free. The list of shelters has been growing. With all the unfotunate financial problems Americans are going through (lack of income, high gas prices and forclosures) the shelters are becoming more and more populated. More visitors to the site equals more shelter animals fed.

Take a few minutes to read the story about the little girl who started this. She is the type of role model I want for my son.

  • I love freekibble.com. The trivia question the other day referred to the "African Wolf Dog, the Basenji" and what trait they had that no other dog has…of course, they can't bark. I laughed out loud when I thought of my "African Wolf Dogs" asleep in my bed. I click on cat trivia as well.
Another daily 'click' for me is theanimalrescue.com

I have not read the story you mention, I will do it tomorrow!

  • I saw the basenji question too!!! That was a thrill!!!

My dogs are secured in crates or the bedroom (Rotties were okay behind a gate, I'd never trust my basenjis with one) if the door is open. Every time, every single time, for my entire adult life. So yeah, dog bolts, the person failed to secure the dog. Unless some person enters if you don't know it, tree falls on house, burglar comes in, police raid your house by mistake etc… if YOU open a door, YOU are responsible, not the dog.

Its fine that you might want to protect yourself on any list. I think what your doing, well, its good that YOU get the credit. Re rescue booth work. Its really something I make time for in the PNW. My all breed dog club goes to areas, and I am there. I even do the Bull's Eye pit bull rescue booth, and I have to tell you, I have seen more attitude with a lot of b's than I did with these lovely PB..but that is of topic. Anyway, we admire you, Brenda or Melissa, just let us know how we should address you. Oh, I see..its Melissa…good!
