    Since Buster is a rescue, I would highly suggest that you have DNA Fanconi testing done. It is a cheek swab that you do yourself. You can order the test at www.offa.org for 65.00.     @dunappy: Hie all I'm from New Mexico. I currently have two basenji neutered males named George and Ice Man. I lost my female (their mother) this past weekend at the ripe old age of nearly 17. She was born Dec 19th, 1991 and passed away last Friday Oct 12th, 2007. George and Ice Man are both almost 15 having been born Dec 13th, 1993 and both are still healthy and going strong at the moment. however I know here in the next few years I'm going to be without them and I'm starting to look for a young one to bring in. I lost my first basenji female last year after 16 years very hard. I now have 2 a female and a male. Its been fun they are both from the same litter and my son got a male at the sametime.
