Booger's New Sweater

Basenji Talk
  • I can't remember which thread I found it in, or who posted, but thank you very much to the person who recommended sitstay.com. I visited their website earlier this week & bought all of Booger's Christmas presents. Their prices are extremely reasonable… found a very cute fleece for only $15, and everything arrived today (only 2 days after I ordered it).
So without further ado, Booger models his new sweater.

I love the little skull & crossbones!

  • Awww that is so cute!! I was about to get one of those for Tiggy also, LOL.

I love sitstay because they are reasonable and have great stuff

After looking at several brands of sweaters, I was especially excited to see their sweater prices. This one was only $15!!! I've seen other sweaters ranging from $35 all the way up to over $100. I know you get what you pay for in most cases, but it may not last until next season with as rough as he can be, so I don't want to spend a small fortune on a sweater. Plus, this is the cutest one I've seen for boys.

  • I know what you mean about price. I got Tiggy two of the Fido Fleece ones, even though they were a little more pricey. But they have held up VERY well. tiggy wears his all the time and even plays in it with no problems.

  • I love it!!! Looks like I found my B"s Xmas presents :D

This was supposed to be his Christmas present, but he got it early since I'm going to be out of town for two weeks and since he shivers some on chilly evenings when he's just sitting around. He'll get the tasty stuff for Christmas.

  • awwwwwww–he looks sooooo cute in his new sweater! What a good parent you are to make sure he stays warm.

  • I love, love, LOVE your pictures in the gallery…the captions are hilarious too! What a cutie-pie he is...and I'll say it again...LOVE the name!!!

Thank you so much! I stayed up late one night making a gallery to show him off. I know each & every one of us has "The best basenji ever", but mine really is! heehee. I never thought I could love a dog so much, and I'm glad I made that gallery since I'm out of town & its the only way I can "see" him right now :(

You can find a lot of puppy collars at thrift shops for pretty cheap - would never pay full price for one. I'm getting mine at 14 weeks and was told that 8-12 inches was what was being used - then at 4- 6 months graduate to 10-14 inch collar.

I had nose surgery a few months ago and when I got home I was worried the dogs would be so excited and jump all on me, but it was crazy how mild mannered and dare I say tame/domesticated they were. I swear they knew I was hurt and gave me a day or so of good behavior. They are truly great dogs to own!

EWWWWW! Especially the being speared on the tooth part! Chey caught a pigeon in the yard once. I took them for their afternoon walk and when I went out to throw the poop out back I noticed feathers all over the yard. Silly me thought a cat or hawk had gotten the poor thing. I cleaned up the feathers and a foot, went inside and Chey wasn't around. I found her sitting on our bed with the remains, very proud of herself. It took me some coaxing to get it away from her and then I had to wash all the bedding…which I had just finished doing earlier in the day!

Jayden is super gross when it comes to what he'll eat: poop, vomit, and, if he pees on the patio, he'll lick that. Honest!!! We feed him and we feed him very well! Yucccchhhhh! Pat

There's no animal so resourceful as a hungry basenji. They were slighted you know for centuries being last in line at the cooking pot.
