Funny enough, my guy is from a breeder in Pembroke - just down the road from Ottawa! They've had litters on and off over the years, but I'm not sure whether they're active at the moment (last I heard, one of the moms was in a "false heat" and they might try again with her in the summer). In any event, it's easiest to politely contact whatever active breeders you can find in Ont/QC, and I find they're very nice and often able to refer you to others should their bookings be full. That's how I did it. Best of luck!!
Looking for a young adult basenji in or near lower MI

I am looking to adopt a young adult basenji. I am open to a Male or female and would prefer a dog under the age of 5, but I am open to all possibilities. I am located just outside of Detroit, and willing to travel within reason for basenji. Any help would be greatly appreciated

From far away, I can recommend CarolAnn near Columbus, OH, who might have or know someone who can satisfy your requirements. She has a rigorous qualification list for you to achieve, but expect it from any dedicated breeder. Good luck in your quest, and a long life for your new dog.
